Couldn’t recommend oakleys enough, especially Sam who went above and beyond for me. Trying to exchange and complete on a property whilst travelling on the other side of the world wasn’t ideal but Sam made it as simple as it could be and was always at the end of the phone to answer any questions I had. We’ve used Oakley twice in North Laine and recommend them unconditionally. They are always super-professional and responsive. The agent you need on your side is Alex Powrie – he is an incredible asset to the company, always willing to go above and beyond to help both vendors and buyers. He has such a positive, can-do approach and makes what is inevitably a stressful process so much better. Dimple and Adriana are also great members of the team. Alex, thanks again for being a super-star and such fun to deal with.

They work with some of Brightons shadiest landlords and will happily facilitate their dirty work.
I had contracts all signed and then pulled by Oakley only days before the move in date with no explanation. I have had agents entering into the rented property with their own set of keys and accessing tenants rooms without any notice or permission from the tenants. Requests for repair ignored for months on end. Holes left in the roof causing leaks into bedrooms, black mould, broken windows...
If you are a renter be aware Oakley will not help you, unless you’re a landlord. No matter how in the foul they are.. and if you request MANDATORY repairs you may have an eviction notice turn up shortly after… the entities I had most problems with were EMS Ltd (John Eager and Ben Pettett) although I wouldn’t be surprised if they change their company name and continue scamming people with the help of Oakley. It’s honestly laughable… but that’s just Brighton landlords and “how they do it” … or so I’m told. So happy to not be renting through these absolute clowns

We cannot reccomend Oakley highly enough! Their professional, honest and friendly service from beginning to end was exceptional. At a very difficult time their kindness and understanding was much appreciated. Hannah was especially amazing, she took the time to keep us informed and was able to always help with any queries and questions, going above and beyond to get the sale through. All the team that we dealt with Andy, Hannah, Alex and Dimple were fantastic, always happy to help us. Oakley really are the best estate agents in the whole of Sussex. 100% recommend them for all your property needs!

I cant thank Oakley enough for their hard work and support during my sale. It hasn’t been an easy process due to a number of reasons out of their control but they persevered and got my sale complete.
I wanted to give a special thank you to Alex Powrie who worked incredibly hard during the whole process. Alex was so supportive and was there to help me with any questions or queries I had and his advice was invaluable. He’s an asset to the team!
I came into contact with numerous members of the sales and admin team and always found them helpful and very responsive to any questions or queries I had.
I would have no hesitation in using Oakley again for any sales/lettings I may have in the future. I have also made recommendations to friends who are thinking of selling in the New Year.

Where to begin.
Lesson 1 - Andy Hovey and Hannah Wells. Let’s start with Andy Hovey: “We are not in the business of advertising broken boilers
Hannah Wells : She should have known that she was ill equipped and shouldn’t have answered when asked is there heating and hot water!! If she ultimately didn’t know then she should have gotten the answers.
Duty of Care - Back to Andy!! He seems to think it’s fun to take advantage of people before the holidays. Considering he knew well an truly “I thought the boiler issue had been fixed”
CHRIS OAKLEY - He prides himself in being in business for 30 years!! My suggestion is to teach your employees not to mis lead people when you know there is a duty of care regardless of BUYER BEWARE!!
FINALLY - if you have someone who has been in a similar situation don’t be afraid of an estate agent they love to take advantage of renters and buyers!! Protect yourself and stay as far away from CHRIS OAKLEY AND HIS Business!!
My Christmas and new years and 6 months there after was spent with no heat or hot water an they still chose to mislead people!!
DO NOT TRUST OAKLEY IF YOUR VERY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.
