We had our house on the market with another agency for 6 months with no movement. We switched to Brown and Merry and sold it within 2 months for the asking price (which Marcus said they would do). Marcus and Charlotte were outstanding from the get go. They communicated clearly with us throughout and were confident in their approach. I approached Brown and Merry as had found a lovely property that I wanted to purchase ( also through them) but there was considerable time pressure. The team really stepped up to the mark, and within 2/3 days i already had around 15 viewings booked- all accessed through their network and contacts. The team were extremely enthusiastic and proactive- and made me feel comfortable immediately. I really enjoyed the process and they achieved what i thought was near impossible, with the sale of my house in such a short time frame. Our house was on the market for two months with another estate agent, with only five viewings in that time. I’d been impressed by the team at Brown & Merry - in particular Marcus - who proactively knocked on our door when he saw the For Sale sign to find out our requirements and to recommend some properties. He was the only agent we had met during our house search who actively “sold” the houses to us when he took us around properties rather than just telling us to have a look. It was this that made us choose to swap to Brown & Merry. Onboarding was smooth, marketing was excellent. Charlotte took on our property and secured four viewings in just six days. After less than a week, she found the right buyer and secured us the asking price. Charlotte is organised, communicative, professional and even recommended the home we’re going to moving into. My thoughts on selling a house was always well if its on rightmove it will sell itself, how wrong could i be! I had my house up with another estate agent who not only took poor photos but whos team were less than enthusiastic or knowledgeable about my house on viewings, i only got 2 viewings in 3 months. I went to view a house to buy with brown and merry and was shown around by Charlotte, as soon as i met her i wanted that company to sell my house, she was knowledgeable and engaging! I decided to change to them, we took it off the web for 3 weeks, took new photos, the write up was hundred times better, Tom (manager) came to see it and discuss our options and was equally enthusiastic and engaging. Charlotte and Marcus both came round to view the property they were selling before it went back on the web ( the other company didn't even see it only the man who didn't even do the viewings) One back online Marcus booked in 3 viewings on the first day and i heard him talking to the potential buyers it was like he was selling his own house and sold it in 2 days! Moral of this story is Estate Agents do make a difference so choose right, id sell my house through Brown and Merry Tring again and ill be telling my friends the same! Our experience with Brown and Merry has been great. As with most property sales and purchases there were the inevitable hiccups. They were dealt with in a very professional manner and I’d particularly like to thank Jamie Dyson. Jamie was extremely pragmatic, calm and dealt with situation to aplomb. I would go further though and our experience was that Jamie invested in our sale to ensure all obstacles were tackled with a level of expertise that the other agents in the chain seemed to lack....
