Rented a flat from Oscar Knight for 2 years...absolute nightmare from the get go. Firstly, the flat wasn’t professionally cleaned as promised and had building work mess still - e.g. bags and dust of plaster in the bathtub. Flat codes for entry also not given and we had to get these from neighbours. No inventory check in was ever filed but they still adamantly tried to charge us for an already broken item. We had leaks in the flat for the 2 years we were there - first year it was in the living room (which was apparently fixed but then carried on in the winter when it began raining again). Second year it started off in the bedroom - biggest NIGHTMARE. Oscar knight took ages to even send someone out to look and when someone did open up the ceiling to investigate the leak, we were left with a hole in the ceiling for 3 months with the insulation etc showing - even though I had explained I suffer from asthma and allergies exacerbated by dust (the advice I got when I initially called to explain was that I sleep in the living room). The service was horrific - especially Patrick and Alisha who were rude and shouted down at us on the phone when we complained. No rent deductions given and no sympathy. The ceiling was only covered back up once we had confirmed we would not be staying another year and they needed to get it presentable for leasing. 2 weeks before our lease ended, I came home to another leak in the living room (which resulted in a stain on their sofa which they tried to charge me for upon checking out). I informed Patrick that we would not be staying another year - he tried to tell me I would be in breach of contract (I contacted citizens advice who confirmed I would not be). After our experience with Oscar Knight we were scarred from renting and had no trust left in letting agents - fortunately though we have found brilliant service with our new flat. Please don’t ignore the bad reviews and rent a property with them just because it looks nice - I wish we hadn’t.... Read more

Awesome service, couldn’t have asked for an easier or clearer process. Lia was fantastic in helping us secure our dream flat, she knew we were interested in a similar flat in the same block but we just missed out the first time round, so when another flat the exact same came up around our ideal move in date, she called me straight away and gave me the option to view it without even showing it to anyone else! We put the deposit straight down immediately after the viewing and moved in as soon as we could, just in time for the game of thrones season premiere! I had a viewing with Lia last week, and she also helped me with the paper work after I put down a holding deposit. She was really friendly and helpful when showing me around the flat, telling me everything I needed to know. She was also incredibly helpful with the financial side of things, explain what would needed to be paid and when very clearly. I was recently interested in a property in London, for which I was given a viewing by Lia. The very first thing I noticed was her FANTASTIC personality - she really took the time to get to know me beyond a professional level, which made me very comfortable and eager to learn more about the company itself :) She was informative and PERFECT at communicating with us to update us on our process. We really, really appreciated this, especially since the tenancy process is still very new to us and Lia made sure we were very well-informed on both the property and the process. She was also adamant that we ask her any further questions, should we need to, making her by far, the most memorable estate agent we have come across (especially with her personality too!); we have nothing but good reviews for Oscar Knight and it is simply due to Lia's demeanour with us. I have had a fantastic experience with Oscar Knight recently. Unfortunately (due to no fault of their own) a flat I was due to sign on fell through. I thought that that was that and began looking elsewhere for a replacement. However, a couple of weeks later I received a call from Lia who had carried on the hunt for me and had found an even better option! It was great that I was still remembered and considered an option despite a previous lease falling through. I had a flat viewing a few days ago with Lia, who arrived on time and showed me around the flat, sharing all the important details. She answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly. She was lovely and very accommodating, trying her best to make customers happy! She was also very upfront about any fees and the timeline for paying them, with no hidden costs. Would recommend! Lia also made sure that my offer to the landlord was well-presented and as a result my offer got accepted. She made the letting process very easy and I'm very happy with the services.... Read more

Lia, on behalf of Oscar Knight, was very prompt and certainly went out of her way to show us round a prospective rented flat by making time within a couple of days notice in her busy schedule. Lia was professional, very helpful showing us round and answered all the questions that we had for the property; there was some difference to one point that we were told, but we felt this was not down to Lia 'bending the truth' but due to giving an answer to the best of her knowledge which we appreciated. Oscar Knight outsource the inventory process to a 3rd party company, and we felt there was a lack of handover of information from Oscar Knight - so felt slightly 'in the dark' with regards to move-in documentation....
