We stayed in a family room, and my son loved having his own little alcove! Staff were really welcoming, breakfast was fantastic. Bar area always cosy and welcoming, we spent an entire afternoon playing board games there when the weather turned. Location is great too - a short walk in a straight line to Shanklin Cliff Lift, then straight onto the beach.... Read more

Location was great and bed was comfortable. Lady that worked at reception was friendly and helpful can't say the same about the other grumpy guy (she also dealt with cleaning and cooking) by the look of it and I'm guessing she could use some help especially when it comes to cleaning. Bathrooms were far from perfect and hotel could use a bit of refurbishment. Price wise it was ok hence 3 stars overall experience.... Read more

Lovely hotel with a Victoria's feel to it woth all little furniture around the hotel! It was lovely that they had kids bikes, cars, playhouse and a see saw in their garden, I wad impressed with that and my daughter enjoyed playing in thr garden too! Staff were friendly and helpful! Only issue was the WiFi, despite there being 2 WiFi there both were not connecting!... Read more

When we arrived, the male owner was quite unwelcoming, seemed harrassed and wanted payment straight away before we'd even had a chance to collect the keys. The room seemed ok, but when we started putting our clothes in the drawers/wardrobe, we noticed tiny bugs running around inside them. The owner offered to 'brush them out' when we asked him to have a look. This wasn't acceptable to us at all. My daughters bedding also had yellow staining on it. They didn't have another family room so we asked for a refund. This was accepted and we left as soon as the refund was credited back. The owners were pleasant enough to a point but not the friendly welcome we were expecting after reading the reviews. We would have found it difficult to stay in another room anyway after our first impressions. I'm sure it's a problem they will rectify but it left a bad impression on us unfortunately.... Read more

Most enjoyable 4 day break with our grandson. Room was just right for the 3 of us. Nice crisp white bedding. Lesley and Simon very nice couple. Great English breakfast. Filled you up for the day. If you've never been to the Isle of wight before its like going back in time.... Read more
