Went to visit my friend of over 20 years and found him sodden in his own urine, pants, pyjamas and bedding!!! Then told there wasn't sufficient funds for extra bed pants and they had none!!! Thank you to the staff who were kind and sympathetic to me and my mum on our daily visits to my dad who sadly was there for end of life care. They made his final days comfortable. Would definately recommend Hawkinge House... Read more

Hawkinge House looked after my dad wonderfully, he had previously been in another care home in New Romney which had failed him massively, after dad was ready to be discharged from his in-patient hospital visit I refused to let him go back to his old care home and Hawkinge House took him and he lived there in comfort until he passed. The staff were very accommodating to us his family which was a huge relief as we hadn't had that luxury in his previous home , we were allowed in at meal times to help feed him as he had lost a lot of weight previously and they cooked him whatever meal he wanted and if he didn't eat that they would get him a different meal on the spot, no questions asked as he had to be built up again. This is one of the best care homes around in my experience and I have visited and had experience of a few.... Read more
