Disgraceful housing association I would avoid indefinitely. They take ages to repair simple jobs , most of the time they sub contract jobs out to cowboy builders that have no clue what they’re doing. Customer service takes forever to speak to someone and if you get annoyed/fustrated at them they get offended immediately, maybe if they looked after their tenants and did a satisfactory job everyone would be happier.... Absolutely disgusting diabolical and detestable company! Be warned do not deal with these people. Minus 5 stars.
The housing managers do absolutely nothing just treat you like another number and use their script talk in any situation, we are now on our 4th in the space of 3 years and there's not much to be said about Phil Williams who is an absolute dumb dumb of a person who would rather protect the abusive and harassing neighbor who is an alcoholic and class A drug addict. And Leanne Storie an ex probation officer enjoys using her dictatorship and authority background to intermediate and belittle tennants.
We been recorded and video without our knowledge by said neighbour (Stephen knapman) who has many criminal convictions and court orders but is allowed to stay beside the many complaints and reports to both pobl and the police.
If you value your human rights and freedom then this is not for you. Pobl wants to monitor your behaviour and control your life.
As well as this there's a constant rat problem and mold and meldew. The list goes on.

Been Pobl tenant for 13 yrs. Never had any major issues, only one repair (gas cooker) took long to sort out. Had various issues with property: broken doors, leaking pipes, windows, gutter and all have been repaired reasonably quickly. Rent is also cheaper than private landlord. Was renting privately in the past and Pobl is much better & cheaper than any of my previous three landlords. Also accommodating to pet owners. Keep up a good work Pobl.... Read more

Trubel started with Neighbors being knose in your business and your next-door is an Absolute Alcoholic and showing you thayer goods and reporting you to pobl for nothing zero resons and I and my partner get targeted by pobl housing officer's Donna and Danielle and the other residents in the street me and my partner have been victims of abuse and stress and one of pobl and another Resident from the other village thats an pobl Resident SA my partner and police and pobl we have asked Multiple times to be moved us because of we feer our life's by May waht to come and also pobl Donna is not in an professional standards at all and being petty over an some paint on an wall that accidentally went on and an lock on an gate to keep your stuff safe from criminals what an complet joke of pobl and thay staff and standards this is Newport Gwent pobl office... I was told for a year that despite damp and mould in my bedroom there was nothing wrong with my roof ( the old excuse you aren’t airing it enough blah blah blame the tenants) . It got worse and worse including a lovely rainforest shower effect with the really bad weather, despite numerous pobl employees attending. In the end I got my own roofer to check lo and behold it was not fine. I put in a complaint and the communication has been disgraceful. My bedroom is riddled with mould even though it was newly decorated 6 months ago, new wardrobe ruined by mould all could have been avoided if pobl had identified the issue honestly. I am a Pobl tenant and I don’t have hot water in the property more than 3 weeks now .5 different times Engineer had been turned down heating also . I feel like I am suffering in this miserable situation with my 20 months old baby in this property without heating and hot water forever.
I am feeling like this terrible situation is forever because it is more than 3 weeks since I constantly having this horrible persistent problem and engineering cannot fix it rather than stopping heating and changing the parts of the boiler.... Read more

To update, in my opinion, no one should consider being a Pobl tenant, unless you like metal being placed through mentally anguishing pain, frustration and being disappointed every time you need them.
I Have been a tenant over 16 years, when it was Charter Housing a charity that cared about its tenants and understood needs of tenants, a reputation for treating each and every tenant with courtesy, honour and respect and equality, it’s now a hollow unrecognisable business, with a bad reputation locally.
This Association is uncaring, it doesn’t adhere to its own policies and procedures or holds itself to our tenancy contracts but owe them £10.00 rent and they knock door with their palm out demanding it with all kinds of threats to end your tenancy!
The Association does not do effective good quality of standard repairs but they expect you to wait weeks or months for a repair, they
waste most of this time sending surveyors
out to take pictures, spend time in meetings deciding if it goes to trades or special projects reactive works or sling to a contractor and then send a contractor to take more pictures and then make a “attempt” to “bodge”…i dunno (with hand on face) all I know is they cannot repair a simple fence properly, wire a house, build a gate…I digress the Association has failed its tenants spectacularly in this department.
The complaint system is stressful, no one knows how to communicate effectively, or follow its own guidance and policy, it doesn’t do anything other tha. deter a tenant from making any kind of complaint after going through the process just once. It’s like it’s geared up this way intentionally and it holds no one to account, it lacks any kind of staff accountability for blatant misconduct.
The HA prefers you to get the public service ombudsman involved because they cannot make them do anything they don’t want to they say an empty meaningless sorrier won’t do it again, make promises to make good and all goes away, then they break the promises made to the ombudsman and you then you have to go back round the system again....
