Claim to be award winning estate agency. But as an estate agency have been appauling in dealing with refunding my deposit which is now 3 weeks overdue. They are quick to demand fees, and take deposits but when it comes to providing a fair service and being transparent they fail miserably.

I had a terrible experience with this agency. After waiting for a long time I had to reach out to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme for my deposit to be returned.

Sian and the entire team were terrific. As starter, they only showed properties that very closely matched my desires (saving us all time); and the paperwork process was managed very well. Great work!

Great experience with the team. Really helpful and accommodating with everything. We will definitely use them in the future

I would give 0 stars if I could Worst experience I have ever had with a company/group of individuals in my entire life. As a tenant, I have never felt so mistreated, ignored, not taken seriously. Unprofessional, untimely and disrespectful staff. BEWARE of unfair contract terms that they make you sign, if you sign an “Assured Shorthold Tenancy” agreement, you are not required to give a 2 month notice. If they write this in your contract, do NOT agree to this and ask for a new contract as it is unlawful to require a tenant to give a leaving notice for an Assured Shorthold Tenancy. We had issues where the flat upstairs from us had construction, and our personal property got damaged as a result of this. We have contacted Portico multiple times on this, and no action was taken. The only time when we got a decent response was when we expressed our intention to move out. Getting our deposit back took 7 weeks, which is completely unacceptable. They were very non-transparent in breaking down each cost, and untimely in answering our emails. I wouldn’t recommend working with Portico even to my worst enemy. They have caused us untold stress and costs that any competent estate agency in the same situation would resolve and handled better.
