Even after notifying the agency that I am no longer looking for a property I kept receiving SMS messages. The messages were being sent with a sender ID "PortlandEA" saying at the end reply STOP to opt out - which doesn't work. I actually called the agency just now to ask again to be taken off the list and using the opportunity that I have someone on the phone I wanted to be helpful and explain to the rather unpleasant man that the way they are sending messages is not GDPR compliant (I work in communications industry) he just cut the conversation in the middle of my sentence. I will most certainly not be using the agency as they are clearly only nice to people that they can profit of in the short term run.

To the man from the phone: No, the "STOP" message will not magically arrive on your computer if you are using alphanumeric sender ID. You either use an actual phone number where people can respond directly or ad STOP + short code to where people can reply. You are welcome.

Probably one of the best Estate Agents I have come across. Normally I do not like the third parties or the middle man because they make too mush friction between the real customer . I have worked with Park Heath, Bairstow Eves, and endless number of different estate agents, but the more I become know them further I want to go away from them because most of them are parasitic. Portland Estate is no ordinary middle man, I found them genuinely do care about giving a good product to their customers and the google reviews are clearly showing this.
