Stay away from them. Absolutely awful, potentially illegal treatment of their customers and lease holders. I own a property in Manchester, sold and managed by them. They are completely useless and throw fee after fee at you.... Read more

Fantastic process from start to finish. Very responsive to questions and always able to get in touch with the team. Gareth in the sales team was my main point of contact for the purchase of my property and he helped me through every step of the process and keeping me up to date with everything on his side. My circumstances weren't straight forward and Gareth went out of his way to make sure I have a home to live in. He most certainly went above and beyond and ensured the transfer from the sales process into the client care process was seamless. He's a huge asset to the company! Daniel in the Client Care team was brilliant too, juggling the relationship between both parties' solicitors and answering my many questions in a clear and professional way. I was always able to get through on the phone and then our calls summarised brilliantly over email with any information he required to ensure the process went smoothly. Jon the business development manager for the site ensured I could view my property during the time I wanted and made sure it was safe and secure during the pandemic. He gave me fantastic insight around the site and I left with all my questions answered. Although I imagine they have many clients/customers to deal with on a day to day basis, I felt like this journey was curated with precision to ensure I was looked after at every stage. The most important thing is I now have my very own place that would not have been possible without this great team. Thanks again!... Read more

Like other people who have left reviews, I put a reservation fee down for a flat in Embankment West, Edinburgh. After months of delays, I was told by them that the flats were unsuitable, and that lenders were not willing to provide mortgages. They said they would refund my £1000 fee. They have yet to do this, and I am considering legal action. Please do not get involved with this company.... Read more

Beware and Stay away!!! When things are good they would be best you can find however, beware of these unprofessional bunch. In my instance, I had booked 2 flats in a new development in Swindon (The Lock) and paid the deposit. All excited and initiated the mortgage process. None of the bank would let on this development due to poor quality of the entire building with the only purpose to sell it to investors. All the valuations failed and declined to lend. I requested for my deposit back and it has been more than 10 months and I have not received it yet and they are not responding to my emails. Beware of these developers, looks like they are into cheap developments aimed at buytolet and a bunch of unprofessional folks.... Read more

You may buy from Regency but afterwards you will wish that you had never come across them. They ignore emails, do not communicate, do not respond to emergencies, have total disrespect for all owners. BUT CHECK. WHO EXACTLY IS YOUR MANAGEMENT COMPANY?? We in Norwich deal solely with Regency Residential BUT our management contract is actually with Grosvenor House Management Ltd. CHECK have they got a Property Redress scheme in place? It is a legal requirement .... Read more

Purchased a property in Grosvenor House Norwich. They are the absolute worst property management I have ever dealt with and I have experienced a few. Totally agree with all the comments posted and that any positive reviews must be absolutely false. Pointless contacting them they never deal with the issues, never get back to you and they do not do the work and if they do it is the minimum cheapest they can get away with. My car is stuck in our carpark as the fob has broken , its been their for a week, they don't ever sort out the problem as we are an inconvenience and not a valued customer. Wish I could have given no stars.... Read more

Refuse to reply to emails or tel calls. Told about issues and ignored them. As someone else said, absolutely shameful company with lie after lie! UPDATE - site manager came two weeks ago to look at a problem and said would come back next day to solve. We are now two weeks later and they have not come back to solve. Disgraceful! This just adds to all the the other issues we have had or still have with the company... Read more

In December I put a £500 deposit down on Broadwater flats in Worthing. I was in contact with Phillip whoywho wasn't responding to any of my emails in the new year, after waiting weeks and hearing nothing I rang Regency. I was told Phillip had left the company at the end of December and no one had thought to close his email or at least divert them to pick up his work.. great start... I was then speaking with a chap (name is escaping me) in the customer care/living team and he was to get back to me that week with another viewing to measure up... A week goes by and heard nothing, I rang again and spoke to the same chap and he didn't even say sorry and said he would sort it, which I did get a viewing that week but by this point I believe we're near mid February. Also to note, during all this I have been trying to sort my application out with help to buy. Regency sent me an incomplete reservation form which got rejected from the admin team at HTB, I sent it back to regency andaand they corrected it, got received by an HTB agent who sent it back with a list of incomplete sections from Regency.. Another thing to bare in mind HTB had a massive back log at this point so everything was moving very slow.. now while that isn't Regency fault the fact I was getting pushed back from HTB because of the the errors Regency were making was infuriating. When HTB sent me that list they had also informed me that the Developers hadn't been approved for HTB and that even if the form was correct they could not proceed... Regency said not to worry the application is in and shouldn't be too long.. every time they set an expectation they broke it.. We are now in mid March, my birthday as it happens and in the morning it thought to ring and ask what the status is. The reception picks up and ask for my details and once she heard what development I was buying she tells me that it's not for sale anymore and I'll get my money back soon... Obviously I starting freaking out and she could not give me any information. I demanded someone call me, I was told because it completion day it may be hard but she would try... I rang back every few hours and eventually she put me through to Anthony in the sales team.. he told me he doesn't know what the reception is talking about and he has been selling that development all day and that he would try and get me an answer.. Anthony seemed nice enough but I wasnt surprised when I didn't get a call. I rang that Monday, spoke with the receptionist and she said she was putting me through to Anthony but someone else (didn't even introduce himself) picks up and starts reading a script... Can you believe that? I was told mortgages won't get approved because the planning permission for the industrial units being built next to the flats and I would receive my money at the end of march! At this point I was just like.. whatever.. I just wanted to part ways with these people. A few days later they email me and explain I was to receive a refund is 4-8 weeks.. very different to the end of the month which was 2 weeks. I emailed to say that I was told end of the month.. of course no reply... 20th April they emailed me to say that my cheque is ready and would I like it posted or into the bank account. I opted for the account, a day later they ask me to confirm the bank details, I did that. On the 22nd April they said they would deposit the cheque that Friday or the following Monday.. okay... I have still NOT received the money, I have emailed, done web forms, left a voicemail like the answer phone tells you do to and nothing... I have now had to go to the ombudsman to reclaim my money when they have no reason to hold onto it. My theory is, having read that others have received theirs is that they have messed up the bank details and don't want to admit it... The sheer time, worry and stress they have put me through could actually bring you to tears. I can not stress enough how much you should avoid these people and I welcome the owner to call me to discuss the appalling service or should i say lack of service I have received.... Read more

I reserved a flat at Broadwater Apartments in Worthing (South East England) and as a review from someone in Edinburgh experienced, nobody could get mortgages on the flats. Six months after putting my reservation deposit down (a week before the properties are due to be finished), I get a call from the estate agent informing me that the properties are now going to be rented out. This meant I had to try and get my money back from this awful company. They do not reply to emails. They do not answer the phone. You CANNOT contact this company. After weeks of trying to get hold of someone, I get a generic email asking for my bank details for a refund. Every bit of contact I had with Regency Residential were generic emails. No actual responses to my queries or questions. Nothing. In fact, half the email addresses on the site’s contact page don’t actually exist and you get a postmaster when emailing them. Eventually I get an email that says they are “waiting for a cheque from the developer before they can pay me back”. Eventually I get my money back, 8 weeks after I am informed that the properties are going to be rented out. If you are considering purchasing from this company, listen to the bad reviews. I ignored the ones about being unable to contact them, or it taking them twice as long to build the property. I regret it. Awful customer service. I do not recommend ANYBODY purchasing from them.... I was interested in a flat at Regency Residential’s Embankment West Development in Edinburgh. Anthony from Regency Residential arranged a viewing and on the morning of the viewing he called to say there was another viewing a couple hours after me. He insisted I needed to get the reservation fee of £1000 over quickly to secure the flat. I asked the women who showed me around if there was another viewing shortly after mine, she said there were none scheduled. I shrugged this off as a pushy sales technique and sent the reservation fee. However I was unable to get a mortgage on the property as mortgage lenders would not lend on this development. Anthony told me I would get a refund within 4 to 5 days. I called a couple of weeks later to be told it takes four to five weeks. The deadline passed and I heard nothing. Regency Residential failed to respond to my emails until I posted a negative review which has now been removed. I am unsure why the Google moderator removed this review as it did not break the Google review policy and I tried to upload an email chain that catalogues my recent dealings with Regency Residential. Eventually Regency Residential replied and said they would refund the reservation fee. “Dear Mr. Baird, The team is presently at a reduced capacity and working remotely and subsequently causing a delay in response in the last few weeks. This is not an excuse and we do apologise for the tardy response. In relation to your refund, we have confirmed that your refund is being processed and is completed at month end, we have a team member in the office tomorrow morning and will investigate to the stage.” After using delay tactics they eventually told me the cheque had been drawn and the director would sign it on Friday and present it to the bank. I got no update on Friday or this week after following up. Hoping this review will spark a reply and maybe I will get my money back.... Read more

I was interested in a flat at embankment west . I dealt with Anthony Kelly from Regency Residential, who set me up a viewing. Anthony told me that I needed to act quick and send over a £1000 reservation fee to secure the flat. He even said there was a viewing two hours laters and time was of the essence. The women that showed me round on arrival told me this was nonsense and there was no other scheduled viewings of the flat that day. However I really liked the flat and shrugged this off as a classic sales technique. I sent over the money but then found out many mortgage companies would not lend on the development and I decided against buying. It has now been two months and I have not received my reservation fee back, after emailing and phoning numerous times. Anthony promised me on several occasions I would get my reservation fee back. ( see the email chain screenshot). This review is the first step of action, I will be back to update on the situation again soon.... Read more

Worst company I have ever come across! As soon as I reserved a property, the communication was non existent. Ignored majority of emails and phone calls, even when I went through the complaint process! Even the director of sales didn't acknowledge complaint email. Wasted my time with having hope on a property for almost a year, when I could of gone elsewhere. STAY CLEAR!!!... Read more
