Excellent lettings, horrible tenancy management. I rented my apartment in 2020 through 'Reliable Homes' which was later acquired by 'Drivers & Norris'. After this acquisition, getting a reply from the agency on any non-emergency issue became a test of patience, though to their credit they would 'eventually' get the issue resolved. Few times this became extremely stressful, for example when it took me 6 months and several emails, including notices of formal complaint to the The Property Ombudsman, to get my tenancy deposit back after vacating the apartment in a perfectly fine condition.... A refund for a deposit I paid was confirmed by Reliable Homes, an agency owned by David Norris from my understanding, in March, has still not been processed. I have followed up a few times via email and have had no response. They had confirmed verbally and over email they would refund me.... Read more

Emailed us one month before Christmas and the expiry of our lease to say if we wanted to renew rent would be increased by an eye watering 42%. We were naturally upset and worried because we could not afford that and therefore risked being made homeless in the middle of winter, in a cost of living crisis. Emailed our landlord to plead for a smaller increase (we pitched halfway between our then rent and the 42% increase to try and be reasonable, although this was still a massive and unjustified increase). He told us he had never told them to increase to the figure they had told us, but it meant we got stuck with the figure we offered. Tricked into bargaining against ourselves. Reliable Homes never even apologised or explained themselves. They're always quick to chase if rent isn't received before the end of the payment day though!... Read more

Utterly awful experience, insulting levels of customer service and professional standards. As many others have noted in previous reviews, this agency shows absolutely ZERO consideration of prospective tenants, and I dare guess prospective landlords too, in not upholding a transparent process. My partner and I were booked for a flat viewing, which we had to make space in our diaries for and travel a long distance to make, as we are currently not living in London. Having received a reminder about our appointment, we went to the property safe in the knowledge that an agent would be there to show us around. This turned out not to be the case, as we waited around and no one showed up. Several phone call attempts later, finally we got through to their office and the person I spoke to acted as though he was completely clueless about our appointment, coming up with the poor explanation that his colleague in charge of our viewing had gone home sick earlier and that we should wait till she's back the following week to reschedule. All of this was a LIE: I went back to the ad link shortly after, and it clearly stated "Let Agreed". So in essence, they had found a tenant before showing the property to us and had not even taken the minimal trouble to let us know to spare us a pointless trip. TENANTS: stay away from these time wasters. LANDLORDS: stay away too. This agency is not going through a fair and transparent tenant selection process, thereby not acting in your best interest and potentially causing you to lose out on best offers and carefully vetted tenants. Shameful, unprofessional, pathetic and disrespectful business whose name can only be a work of the finest irony.... Read more

Hi, I had a very upsetting experience yesterday with one of the agents called Angelo Matraxia. I was booked for a viewing in Crouch End, so I asked to leave early at work to be able to make it on time. I also had to pay for a taxi, because I hate to be late, I think it is such a disrespectful thing to do. I received a message from the agent 15 minutes before the viewing, he was just double checking that I was still up for that viewing, I replied "yes, I am on my way". I arrived at the property right on time and waited there for 45 minutes. During that time I messaged him once and called him twice. I never heard back from him. Really wasted my afternoon and evening and also had to ask for a favor at work. Sorry but it is not acceptable. Funny that the name of the company is called Reliable.... Read more

Very bad experience with this agency, they took my money, they did not find me a room or studio and when I called them to Have my money back (three times in two months, so I let them all the time to solve the problem) they always reply "We will let you know", four months are gone and they do not reply to me anymore. Worst experience in 6 years living in this country!!! Be aware!!!... Read more

Teach your staff how to drive. Especially when driving a company car. Almost crashed in to me FOUR TIMES on the A40 last night. Jumping lanes with no indicator, undercutting and weaving in and out with ZERO consideration for anyone else. Almost hit a child in the rear seat of a car on the right. Absolutely disgusting, they appeared to be on their phone. Having had a company car myself previously I know you have a responsibility to represent the company when using it, and I’m just shocked that your staff are content giving this impression. If they have complete disregard for others safety, why should anyone trust them with something as important as a home. Number plate was VK19 YXN.... Read more

Estate agent to avoid at all cost. I would give this review 0 stars if possible. I would usually never review but as this was by far the worst customer experience I've ever had, so felt obliged to write one. The agent Satnam had me waiting days on end for updates on a property I was interested in. He failed multiple times to stick to time frames set by himself. He would often tell me he will get back to me within the hour or by the end of the day, and I would not receive anything from him until I prompted him, after giving me every excuse under the sun why he did not contact me back. I had to take matters into my own hands by visiting the vendors themselves and asking them about current situation. Complete time waster with empty promises and could never keep his word, avoid this agency and especially this agent at all cost. Note that this review is not exaggerated in any way. _______________________________________________________________________ EDIT: To address Mr Orna's response. IF you personally evaluated the correspondence between us both, then you would have seen that I had to follow up with him several times before he would give me an update, never being able to deliver at a time HE proposed. You are correct to say he would respond to me at times of like 9.30pm, However why did you not include that he was supposed to respond to me within the time HE stated - "I'll have an update for you around 4 after I have spoken to the vendors", now this isn't what he said specifically as i'm paraphrasing but you get the idea. This did not happen once, it was multiple times. For everyone reading, I understand that not everything is straight forward so a prompt response is not always applicable, but in this case, it was straight forward. I simply wanted to know the vendors stance on their asking price (which I was able to comfortably meet and willing to go higher) but the agent did not communicate that with me AT ALL. After congratulating me on securing the sale of the property, I was informed there was a 3rd party offer involved who bested my current offer, understandable, however I was kept in the dark after this so could not even counter that offer - thus resulting in me having to physically turn up at the vendors house and asking them for an update myself (like i mentioned in my original review). Unbeknownst to me, after speaking to the vendors in person, they said the sale is already underway and lawyers have been in touch for the most part of a week - Meanwhile "Satnam" is still messaging me saying he will speak to the vendors..... yeah right........ I could sit here and talk for days how much I could recommend this amazing Agency but I keep it short. I was tenant for 4 years and mostly dealt with Marina, Kayleigh and Elena which have always been extremely responsive, friendly, helpful and professional with all the matters we had. The property was in an amazing condition was always maintained to a safe and professional standard by the maintenance team. We've have always been looked after to make us feel taken serious as tenants and I would definitely rent or buy from Reliable Homes again. Thank you!... Read more
