Zero stars. Absolutely useless company lie to you constantly and fail to carry out any property maintenance. Numerous issues reported of water leaks etc a year on still not even investigated. Were not even registered to do property management until the council intervened. Noisy neighbours next door which they’ve never investigated. In 4 years I’ve never met their terrible staff in person and they don’t know who the property manager is, apparently no one! Do not use.... Read more

I lived in the VIE building that Ridley thaw currently manage and I also worked as the cleaner for the building for almost 2 years. Over that time I had nothing but issues with them as both a resident of the building and as an employee. As an employee, I don’t believe there was ever a month over the 2 years I was there that I received a wage ON TIME! On a number of occasions I would go almost 2 months without my wage being paid to me, which then effected me paying my rent! It seemed as tho the wage was held back out of spite as other contractors were receiving their wages on time. I also had to go into Ridley thaws office to sign in every working morning which would not have been an issue if it was not for the childish sniggering and complete lack of professionalism. In the end I ended up not being able to walk into the office to sign in as I felt so anxious and did not see why I had to deal with this kind of behaviour in a work environment. As a resident, I had a serious issue with an antisocial neighbour who would blast music on full volume continuously, every single day and would be very confrontational if we ever complained. This issue continued for 8 months until I eventually moved out. Nothing was ever done about this issue and Ridley thaw proceeded to TAKE SIDES with our antisocial neighbour as he owned his apartment and we were only renting. This only encouraged our neighbour to play music more and made our situation worse. We contacted Ridley thaw a number of times about the issue and never received any help whatsoever, they simply dismissed it. Also, My boyfriends bike was chained to the hand rail of the stairwell as previously someone had tried to cut his chain. When I went down to work one morning I saw my boyfriends bike chain had been CUT and the bike was in the storage room of the building. I then Found out that Ridley thaw had instructed for the chain to be cut and if the bike was not claimed then it could be sold. This was done WITHOUT our permission and without us knowing. The bike was then stolen that day as my boyfriend had no chain. I contacted them about this and asked why we were not notified and they told me they did not know who’s bike it was. No effort was made to leave a note on the bike, leave a notice in the communal areas or even put a post on the Facebook page, they simply cut the chain without any attempt to find out who owned the bike. This issue was also dismissed by them and the impression I got was that they just didn’t care because it wasn’t their fault. A review had been posted previously however Ridley thaw asked for it to be taken down, so out of kindness I did. However, now I no longer work/live there I feel I should voice these concerns. Never in my life have I dealt with such unprofessionalism. They have an ‘I don’t care’ attitude towards people who are renting and did not take us seriously at all. I have dealt with them as both a resident of the VIE building and as the cleaner of the VIE building and I would not recommend dealing with them!
