Cannot recommend or compliment the team at River Habitat more highly. They have been professional, compassionate, flexible and easy to communicate with. I had a lease for a short time before relocating to Australia and they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Furthermore, they helped me to arrange a move out clean and made this whole process stress free. They have always communicated on a personal level and been so understanding of their clients needs. Furthermore, they have been flexible with allowing me to have parcels delivered to the agency and even bringing flowers and Covid tests to my door that I had delivered. I have previously had negative experiences with agents in London and the team at River Habitat have completely changed my opinion about that. I could not fault them on anything and would recommend them to anyone look to rent in London. I cannot thank them enough for being so flexible and understanding... Read more

I’ve just moved out of a flat managed by River Habitat in which I have lived for the last three years. The flat and the building have had their fair share of issues but have to say that lead time to a contractor arriving have been on the whole very good. Sometimes even same day. Staff are very personable and friendly. I’ve forgotten my keys a few times in the flat at not the best times of the day and there is always a smile as they hand me over the management set to let myself in. Moving to a property I own now and I know that if I drop by when I am next in the area they will always be happy to see me for a quick catch up.... Read more

I would advise against anyone that considers renting through River Habitat for the following reasons: - they organise viewing with little or no notice at all - when my previous flat mate moved out, they sent over the inventory guy with no notice. The guy just came in the flat without any warning (he knocked and then entered). I was in a work call so imagine how that can phase you out. Although I mentioned to him that I was in a call, he then proceeded testing fire alarms with no warning. - 3 months and counting since I told them the dishwasher was broken - still not fixed. - asked me to meet with a potential tenant (in the middle of the pandemic!) when I refused one of their employees started to threaten me and advised that he won't tell me when new visits were going to be organised (I had to speak to his boss to fix this) - no warning when the new flat mate moved in. - poor communication they always ask me to provide proofs multiple times. - disingenuous (liars) - when I mentioned that one of the brackets in the dishwasher was broken they advised they were sourcing the part even though I didn't mention which. I didn't mention which bracket (whether left/right/bottom/top) or offered any details so they just lied about them sourcing parts. As a final point they leave 5 star reviews for themselves to make the company look better than it actually is.... Read more

As a landlord I've worked with River Habitat for many, many years. They fully manage several of my properties. In that time we've had many dozens of tenants. I honestly cannot remember having any problem that River Habitat were unable to resolve amicably and with respect for the tenant. In my experience they have been thoroughly professional in all of our dealings. They have removed much of the stress of day to day lettings and I trust them implicitly to do what's right for both me and the tenant. I recommend them unreservedly to both landlords and tenants.... To be fair River Habitat has been trading 21 years so there will always be a few issues as I note from the website and previous reviews. I have been in one of the River Habitat rented flats for 6 months now. There has been the occasional issue and their maintenance people have been out on the day or the day after and Julian who showed us the flat is always on the other end of the phone. I have been very satisfied with the service and have felt that the offering for me has been worth it. They have been very direct and trustworthy and this is why I recommend them.... Read more

Beware do not use River Habitat. Our offer was accepted at the beginning of the month and we were due to move in at the end of the month. We were told the contract would be sent to us for signature only a week before moving in - this is allegedly standard procedure across agents. Note: Savills and Knight Frank send the paperwork to you asap. DO NOT wait until a week before like we did - you'll regret it, We passed all the reference checks and with less than10 days before our move in we received an email to say that the landlord was backing out. To cut a long and stressful story short, we wasted three weeks relying on professionalism and a contract being honoured, only to be left with a week to find somewhere else. We were also told via email and not even given the courtesy of a call to tell us that everything had fallen through. Unfortunately, my skepticism to go with a smaller Lettings company was indeed confirmed.... Read more

My girlfriend booked to see a property with River Habitat this morning and received a confirmation email of the viewing. We arrived outside at 11am for the viewing and nobody was there to meet us. We tried to call the office 3 times, as we had not been provided with Julian's phone number to meet him, however each call went straight to voicemail. We stayed outside the property for 30 minutes and received no contact from this company, informing us of a delay or anything else. Completely wasted our morning. Do not book viewings with this company, especially if it's with Julian.... Read more
