Very unprofessional. Just had 2 Riverside vans parked outside our home, obviously contractors who were sent to do house waste removal at 1 of their properties.
If your going to hire contractors who think its perfectly acceptable for half a dozen blokes to stand around having a hillbilly party in the street while only 1 of the lads is actually doing any real work then maybe plastering your logo across the side of the van they're using as a portable stereo isnt the best idea.... Initially i had a positive impression - booked 2 viewings in city centre and the agent who showed me around was professional.
But everything fell apart afterwards. I submitted the application for one of the flats by email and never received any reply. I followed this up with 2 phones calls, to be promised they were reviewing the applications, and again never received any answer. Next thing, I found on the website was that the flat had been let.
It is understandable that you could not accept every application but at least communicate! Finding a new place to live is stressful enough, and to deal with estate agent with poor communication like you is not helpful at all. I hope you improve your communication with potential future customers.... Read more

Unfortunately, I went to , Riverside, office and the reception was very bad in terms of respect. They treated me as if I was not wanted in the hull, and they don’t accept university students, and they put incapacitating requests,even when I am a sponsored student they say you need a working guarantorand last year they didn’t Want these kind of inquiry and that because I was treated so bad and the colleagues was saying Hull doesn’t want you guys and she was referencing to that Kuwaiti students Qatari students and the Nigeria students how unfortunate that she said you’re not welcome here and we came long way from home to learn in the University and to find a place that we can live in I was treated bad away from my family and I came here just to study and have a bright future

I am a student at Hull University, I have called the office many times for different properties to rent but they kept saying that the landlords do not want student, do the landlords even know what's you doing?. I recently rented a property through riverside and throughout my tenancy I always made my rent payments on time and in a months advance. I handed in my notice recently with the 4 weeks agreed notice as in my contract. Upon leaving the property and handing in my keys there was never any mention of money owed and all seemed fine. However, approx 5 days later after handing in my keys I received a phone call saying I owed money to the sum of £1100 (2 months rent). This caused issues in riverside releasing my bond which i had initially paid when moving in to the property. I had to send proof of bank statements and numerous phone calls and emails had to be sent all whilst working due to their own incompetence. Eventually the matter was resolved, they had not allocated the payments correctly which made it appear that I was 2 months behind on the rent account which was simply not true. This caused lots of stress and worry on my part through no fault of my own and I was made to feel like I was in the wrong to the point where I even started to doubt myself even though the transactions were on my bank statements. I’ll never rent a property from riverside again and if anyone does I strongly recommend you get proof of every transaction you ever make to save yourself the time, hassle and stress that they caused me.... Booked appointment for rental/valuation 16:00 8/6/22. Clean house and prepare for photos/take time off work. Gets to 16:30 - ring up. Valuer has gone on long term sick leave apparently. No thought to notify us. Speaks volumes how the business is run. Don't waste your time!... Read more
