When lock down came due to covid we were hounded by Robertson for the money. They did not care that we were not allowed to move at that point. Once we got the keys and could get a look at the apartment what a disappointment. The only room that had nothing wrong with it was the spare bedroom and in that room we had to pay for a wardrobe to be installed as it did not come as standard. In the on suite the toilet was not secured down properly there is no shaver socket and when i asked about it was told it is not installed in basic accommodation. In the master bedroom where the bed goes there is only one socket and one on another wall but it is not for the tv as it has one opposite the bed when i asked about this was told it's not on the plans looks like some one has put it on the plans in the wrong place so not getting a socket will probably have to put one in at our own cost. The handle on the bedroom door came of also there was also some cosmetic work in the hall way . In the living room and kitchen area the door leading out to the garden area was covered in cement and we were told this would be cleaned before we moved in but was not also it has taken some paint of the door. There were two holes above the kitchen cupboards. The door closure started pulling the surround panel away . The cupboard doors were not level then they started coming loose and now one has fallen off and a second one is just about falling off the kitchen was installed by Riverside Kitchens of Elgin. Also we had to clean the floor as it was filthy after a few weeks we started to see damp appearing on the wall by the door leading to the garden area it looks as if they had not done an inspection before handing it over. I did a lot of the snagging myself because of covid but the after sales service is slow so i could not in all honesty recommend Robertson Homes as a place to buy. I also forgot the shower in the main bathroom leaked very badly also the internet has not been installed properly.

Initial impression of Robertson Homes is positive. However on closer inspection whilst staying with friends in one then the poor workmanship and lack of forethought in the design becomes very apparent. The quality of materials is generally high but is let down by lack of care during construction. The after sales service also falls well below what would be reasonably expected. Over a three week period we have witnessed many shortcomings that could be easily rectified if the will were there. Perhaps for Robertson Homes a quick profit overides satisfied customers.
