We rented initially with SLCA which was subsequently taken over by McFarlane. Throughout the tenancy Jacqueline Marchant – Currie has been amazing making sure we're kept up to date on issues and changes as well as just being very approachable and earnest, she really did make renting an easier experience.
Would recommend above many other rental agencies we've used in the past

Had a great experience with Mcfarlanes.I have been looking for a long time for a house to rent and they couldn’t have been more helpful and were so efficient.Jacqueline Marchant -Currie was the lady I dealt with in the office and she went above and beyond with helping me find the right home.I had various emails with Jacqueline too and she was always so quick to respond and have answer.From start to finish the whole process of moving had been made so much easier by the team here especially Jacqueline who was so helpful.I thoroughly enjoyed opening my moving in gift box which was a real treat and a nice touch.Thank you for all your help and for an excellent service compared to others.

I let a property through SLCA for many years, and although it is too soon to review McFarlane (who have taken them over), I was more than satisfied with their service. They seem to strike the right balance between the interests of the tenant and the landlord (although I can remember no occasion where these differed). I have dealt with Jacqueline Marchant-Currie for some years and she has always been professional, efficient, helpful and friendly.

I have rented a property through SLCA which is now Mcfarlane in Marlborough for the last 11 years. In those 11 years the service that was given to us has been steadily improving, now that Mcfarlane have taken full control I can honestly say they are an excellent letting agency. I would like to say a big thank you to Jacqueline in the Marlborough Office for looking after our best interest as tenants always providing service with a smile and always there to help. I can thoroughly recommended Mcfarlane to anyone.

I rented a property in Marlborough for a couple of years, moving away a year ago, and was very happy with the service provided, and was delighted to find that a property that I have just moved back into was also managed by them. Jacquie is brilliant, and a really lovely person, and is able to combine professionalism with personability. The only challenge that I experienced was when I tried to pay my rent and deposit using a credit card and was not able to. It would have been much easier for me if I could have used a credit card to mitigate the time between paying, and when I received my previous deposit. Other than that, all very good and thoroughly recommended!

They say first time buying is stressful, little did we know first time selling is just as stressful! Katie and the team led us through a mind field of processes and stages with constant communication, reassurance and updates on what was happening. I have no doubt that the property would not have sold/fallen through without their expertise and liaison with all involved. Forget purple bricks and the likes! Invest in exerptise. We had an offer on our property in a month for a figure we were happy with. Excellent service thank you.

I am thrilled to be renting a property through SLCA marlborough. Lesley, Katie and Michelle are fabulous!
I have used SLCA in the past and really valued the quality customer service and commitment to supporting their tenants.
Circumstances lead to my using a different agent for my last property and that is when I learnt that not all agents are to the standard of SLCA marlborough!!
