Tom Smaley runs the Exmouth branch of Smarts and he is unusual in his approach, and that is a very, very good thing.
He provides a more personal service to fewer sellers at a time as you only deal with him. And that makes communication very clear. So absolutely clear but non pressurising communication.
He provides regular updates, and a calm un-pushy way of helping sellers in what is currently a difficult market. He conducts every viewing himself.
He clearly has an excellent knowledge of the area and
I’m extremely happy I have chose Smarts Exmouth. It’s a very different model of estate agents and I like it.

If you live in Torbay/Exeter and choose another estate agency to sell your house then you are a fool... Adam from Smart's Torquay branch sold my property within 24 hours of it going on the market, unfortunately the 1st sale fell through, but Adam sold the house AGAIN with 48 hours. I initially had my property valued by Purple Bricks and also Haart Estate Agents, both of which undervalued my house at £150,000. Adam achieved a sale of £157,000 on BOTH occasions. The buyer of my property used Connells to sell their home for an extortionate rate, Connells were rude, unresponsive and slowed the whole process down. Adam was constantly chasing the buyers solicitors, something that Connells should have done. From start to finish Adam has been nothing short but amazing. Smart's use of social media is fantastic, they use every single avenue to sell your home, also the pictures Adam took of my property were fantastic. I have previously sold a house with Purple Bricks and apart from them uploading my property to the usual websites and taking the photos, they did nothing. I had to negotiate the sale myself, complete all the viewings and also run around and do all of the chasing. Smart did all of this and more for half the price of Purple Bricks! Thank you Adam for all your hard work.

Only good things to say about the Smart team.
I appreciate their hands on approach and excellent customer service. I have been with them since April 2014 and am a very loyal landlord
My tenants appreciate them too!

I have been using Smart Estate Agents as a landlord for a year now. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough. Not only are they all really friendly and helpful but also diligent in filling my rooms. I've never thought to ever go anywhere else. Great company!

Smart have been really excellent in selling our house. It was under offer so quickly! Lisa is a pleasure to work with, really professional, knowledgable and really knows how to sell a house! Thank you to Rob and Doug too who were great with getting it online. We can't thank them enough, every step of the way has been excellent.

I cannot recommend Smart highly enough, they have been fantastic to work with! We were initially torn between a traditional high street estate agent vs an online one, and Smart seemed like the perfect hybrid of the two. After comparing several quotes we listed our house for sale with them and saved over £2,000 in agency fees thanks to Smart's upfront and transparent prices! Rob and Lisa came to take measurements and photos and the ad went up very quickly. We were pleased with how professional it looked. Within 10 days we had sold! A special thanks has to go to Lisa Williams, who took care of all the conveyancing issues and queries in a highly professional and courteous manner. She was really on the ball with communication in the vital weeks following the sale. At the last stages when things were held up by a solicitor in the chain, thanks to Lisa's hard work chasing things up we were able to exchange ahead of our preferred completion date. We are so grateful to her and the rest of the team at Smart. If you are looking for a professional service at a low cost, look no further - you won't regret it!

Rob and his wonderful team handled our sale in a highly professional way. Communication was excellent from start to finish. His vast experience enabled us to get the best selling price. He even helped us with our onward purchase negations. Well worth the very reasonable fixed price. We were glad we chose this agency and wouldn’t hesitate using SMART estate agency again.
