Poor customer experience. Sales team were poor to communicate with throughout the buying process (example after reserving the home, we visited a few days later to finalise a few things, to my surprise the sales rep greeting us like we'd never even visited the site, she didn't even know our names - her words were can I help you ?). Email and phone conversations were dealt with in an unprofessional manner. Certainly has put me off buying a property off this development in the future.... Read more

A nice visual aid for all you new buyers looking at a Taylor Wimpey House. The photo is off my "Subject Access Request", the four piles of paper represent all the communication I've had since reserving (Dec 2016), moving in June 24th (2017) until October (2017) . The 1st pile (biggest) is all the communication documents to extract money out of me. The 2nd (2nd biggest) is all the snagging / complaints and months of misery endured since moving in. The 3rd (9 pages) is the Quality assurance reports signed by your Site manager (who gets a little annoyed when you point out any issues). The 4th (5 pages, 2 of which are email booking communications) they are your quality reports by TW quality team. Strangely no NHBC reports, I'll let you make you own mind up on that. So ask yourself based "What do you think they really care about?"... Read more

Plot 8 - Tootle Green - Please feel free to come and knock on our door, my experience has been horrendous but I will only offer my experience backed up with photos.
Some Advice
1. DO NOT use Taylor Wimpeys Solicitors.
2. Arrange a professional snagging company to check the house, request this is done before completion when Taylor Wimpey refuse ask "what do they have to hide?"
3. The Sales office will tell you our problems are minor and have all been resolved, this will be the first lie they tell you.
4. The average plot holding (across the UK) for Taylor Wimpey is 30k ask why all prices have gone up on this site by 10k due to freehold
5. Save your money on the options, you will get a better product and finish if you do it after you move in.
6. The site manager is a professional plumber by trade, he is responsible for building your house. Bang on a few doors and ask how many plumbing issues the houses have had.... then ask what hope does the rest of your home have
7. The houses are thrown together by sub contract labour using cheap materials. Google unhappy Taylor Wimpey customers . Google Micro cracking
8. The NHBC are a third party warranty company paid for by the builder who gets rebated should they not have to pay out on claims. Google it
9. The NHBC 4 star rating is based on a single question from an 8 week survey, which does not state its importance. Even with that Taylor Wimpeys % has dropped every year for 5 years they are dangerously close to 3 stars.
10. HAGGLE, Taylor Wimpey made over 600m in profit last year there half year report is predicting even bigger profits this year.
I will never buy a Taylor Wimpey house again, over 200 issues, 4 water leaks one resulting in our main bedroom carpet needing shampooing (it was 10 weeks old), 3 windows refitted, entire new front door and frame, entire front string set put in wrong, drains not fixed, air bricks under soil, floors not level, ceilings / floor and wall out of tolerance, 10 weeks before the kitchen was complete, no flooring downstairs for the first 4 weeks, complete re-decoration, dust and dirt everywhere, the gardens and landscaped ares are paddling pools apart from June, and in spring I have to leave the house for 2 weeks while they re-render....... I've lived in this house 14 weeks..... Every week has made my wife cry.... good luck!... Read more

28/9/17- I AM DEVASTATED - too emotional to type details- but as of today we now have a new snag ( to add to our ever growing list) a major LEAK from our en-suite into our bedroom - carpets underlay floorboards SOAKED DRENCHED ROTTEN - Taylor Wimpey response " Let them dry out naturally" So yes people feel free to knock on my door its a trail of poor workmanship & quality- I'd be happy to show you a TW Dream home after 12 weeks.

This development is in a lovely setting, but having moved into a new-build development a year ago, I was fairly shocked with the absence of care and attention to the finish of the place. I understand that the development isn't yet finished, but when I moved into my (Bloor) house last year, every effort had been made to ensure that the area immediately surrounding my property was immaculate and inviting. Not so here. The occupied areas still look like a building site, with exposed ironworks and lack of landscaping.
I can't speak to the build quality of all the properties here, but if the house owned by my brother in law is representative of the average, woe betide those considering moving here. The list of problems with which he and his family have had to deal is appalling. Even now, he is faced with having to vacate his house in order to have major repairs undertaken.
I'd heard horror stories about new build houses before I bought my own, but my experience made me question the reports I'd seen, but it would seem that these stories were talking about Taylor Wimpey's Tootle Green.... Read more

10th week in our dream home - Kitchen still not finished, flooring still not finished, broken building regulations (photo evidence), major building works with external walls being cut open, floors ripped up, upgraded kitchen ripped apart, 2 external water leaks, complete re-decorate, front garden ripped up, over 200 snags reported and now the rendered exterior is cracking changing colour, to fix we have to move out for 2 weeks. Unlike other reviewers I live on Tootle Green, "Feel Free to ask why my signs are up"... Read more

5th week, no flooring in hall or downstairs toilet, bay window so far out its cracked the render when raising it, front door still not fixed, laundry wall so far out upgraded kitchen panel had to be ripped off wall and they replaced it with a piece of skirting board, kitchen plinths still not installed, and we have still to come all (supporting) lintels being replaced and bay window fixed (again). Building regulations have been broken and yes you get we are fixing it but words are cheap. If your thinking of buying please knock on the door, our house is the one with the banner outside!!!... A lot of issues but Taylor Wimpey are pulling out all the stops to get them fixed. Daily updates from the site manager and the problems are being resolved which I cannot fault. Should you move into a new house and live with tradesmen -- No but I believe this is more a reflection of the housing industry overall and the time / money constraints they put on these builds....
