I would give less than 1 star if I could. I do not recommend. The house when we moved in was utterly dirty, blood stains on mattresses, booklice and silverfish, mould, broken furniture etc. 695£ worth of invoices provided but they want more than double (the whole deposit). Thankfully the adjudicator agreed with the tenants, as the landlord and agents were extremely negligent, and a lot of these problems were pre-move in. They blamed tenants for the mould, did not help at all, the cupboards were mouldy when moved in and were never replaced or fixed! Pick any other letting agent.... Read more

These guys have horrendous reviews for a reason. Tenant Direct both owned and managed the property that I was a tenant in. My housemates and I suffered from a range of issues that tenant direct refused to acknowledge. We had rats from the day we moved in and they refused to get rid of them for 8 months. we were without a boiler and heating for 28 days in winter. We had multiple leaks and fire alarm issues that were not addressed. At the end of the tenancy, tenant direct attempted to claim an absurd amount of the deposit, which we disputed. Of course, the governing body agreed with us, but it took a lot of unnecessary time and effort. Don't use Tenant Direct, they are lying scammers.... Read more

Absolutely horrible services. They NEVER reply emails, rarely pick up our phone calls, and lack of communication between staff and landlords. We need to move in and Tenant Direct said landlord was gonna give us the keys, but never contacted us afterwards, have to call them up about it, they said they’ll contact landlord and get in touch, landlord doesn’t get in touch. A day after we have to call them again but never picked up. Now we can’t even get a hold of our landlord and everyone involved in extremely irresponsible. Now everything is getting delayed and we might end up having no where to stay. If you’re a student, I would not recommend you this company!... Read more

We have worked with Tenant Direct for the last two years and it has been a very positive experience for us. The team are very professional, responsive and proactive in making sure our properties our well managed and maintained. Hayden and his team are happy to go above and beyond to give great service. We've had multiple maintenance issues which have been promptly managed and repairs carried out efficiently. Their online portal is great for keeping track of key information although they are happy to provide ah-hoc updates when needed too. We have worked with several other agencies, over many years, and this team is the best (by quite some way). We can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Tenant Direct for such a positive experience after several bad ones elsewhere!... Read more

My son moved into a tenant direct property in the summer of 2022. It hadn’t been cleaned prior to them moving in. There was rotting food stinking out the garden. Loads of rubbish and broken furniture in the driveway. His room had an overwhelming smell of weed which lasted months. The microwave and dishwasher never worked. The front door was rotten and flimsy. The bathroom was disgusting and shower barely worked. After reporting problems multiple times. Nothing was really fixed. After leaving the property all 6 tenants were charged over £200 pounds for issues that were there and reported when they moved in. Avoid this lot at all cost. They pray on student’s lack of life experience.... Read more

Have still not received our deposit 3 months after we appealed. Due in July and it is now October - even after chasing up 6 times by email, 2 phone calls and a visit in person. Had such poor communication from them as well as a fairly rude email saying that we have not tried to contact them which is a lie. Wouldn’t recommend going with them.... Read more
