Would not recommend renting with tetris. There was a list as long as my arm of issues with the property over the course of my tenancy; many of which took months to fix or were not fixed at all. One example is the fact I had pigeons in the loft above my room: I had reported this issue via email and telephone and it wasn't dealt with for 2 months. Another problem was the disrespectful and condescending manner by which the staff communicated to me and my housemates; having often been blamed for issues that were obviously down to poor maintenance or feeling like issues were thrown to the wayside. On top of all this, after the tenancy ended, my housemate was charged a staggering £150 for repairs in their room. The repair was the damage caused by a wall-clock which had been installed before we had moved in, so naturally we weren't responsible for. Overall feel very cheated after the tenancy ended and is by far the worst experience of letting agencies I've had. I don't deny that others may have had a good experience with this agency - this is just my personal experience.... Read more

We waited for a viewing for over 35mins. Called them twice and then emailed them with no reply at all. I took a picture of us stood outside the property with the time. Then got a very rude email the next day telling us that we didn't turn up. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING behaviour and customer service. I would NEVER use them again.... Read more

Dawn and everyone who I dealt with at Tetris were always speedy and professional and really helped me move quickly and efficiently. They made sure that I was in the loop at all times and swiftly resolved any questions I had about the process. STAY WELL CLEAR Important edit: if Tetris have taken part or all of your deposit, know your rights! Your deposit is protected and there is free adjudication in the protection scheme they use. Take photos (date stamped) before you leave to prove the state you left it in (preferably also take date stamped pictures when you move in too for proof of the state it was in when you got there). Also worth noting that they CANNOT charge you the cost of replacing new for old (eg a new sofa because it was “too worn”). THIS IS A LEGAL FACT. I successfully recovered most of my deposit via the free adjudication. Feel free to contact me if you are a student and would like to see my submissions for help with any adjudication you seek. Tetris are a bunch of cheats who do not care about the students who let the house and only care about making money. I knew they were poor before moving into the house, as previous housemates had had experience with them, but it seems they have gotten even worse. First, not only were they difficult to contact, often requiring multiple emails to receive any reply, which were often not useful anyway, they did not help with the problems existing in the house (we had a gas hob that was broken throughout the entire year, despite telling them several times that it was broken). Finally, and most importantly, like many other people they charged us an inordinate amount of money after we'd moved out -- we were charged £150 for "light cleaning" (among other things) despite the fact that we had hired a professional cleaning company to clean the house (which I saw the results of) before moving out that left the house almost spotless. Their lawyers are poor and misinformed (I speak from having to deal with them earlier in the year where they did not respond to any of our issues and simply described what sort of tenancy we were signing for -- something we already knew and was not relevant to the issue at hand). DO NOT TRUST THEM IN ANY INSTANCE.... Read more

Don't go with Tetris if you want good customer service. The house was in an absolute state when we moved in, and the landlady did attempt to fix most of the issues, but in reality nothing was fixed, just covered up. They regularly don't reply to emails which is frustrating and can be extremely rude on the phone and nearly go as far as shouting at you down the phone! Very unprofessional. I am certain that if I wasn't a student and they didn't think they could get away with being rude and unhelpful, i'm sure that I would have been treated with at least some respect. As a paying client I really expected more. Finally, the branch manager has a terrible attitude, not just to us 5 in our house, but to my friends in other houses let out by this company. This has been since almost as soon as we signed the contract. The rest of the staff are usually helpful and nice to us, but the branch manager has extreme attitude problems and shouldn't be allowed to speak to clients in the way that she does. If you want to be respected by the people your paying, go elswhere!... Read more
