Don't waste your time with these people. Rental process is very intrusive and this is even before agreeing to let the place to you. They also take ages to get back. Avoid them if you are serious about renting.... Read more

Please please PLEASE do NOT rent a property from TOSELAND! They are incompetent, greedy, arrogant and lazy - truly living proof of the Dunning-Krueger effect in action! If you do decide to rent a property through them, be prepared to deal with broken fixtures they could not be bothered to sort, an emergency leakage that goes unchecked for days (despite you ringing them multiple times and emailing) and paying a fortune when you leave for dust on skirting boards. They tried to charge us £120 to remove dust and only backed down when our landlady objected! When we moved in the property was filthy! Our landlady on the other hand was brilliant and always responded promptly whenever there was an issue!... Read more

Edit: I don't wish to get in contact to "discuss my review", we have thankfully moved out now and would rather just let others know about our experience than rehash it all again thanks. Also notice the recent 5 star reviews all posted at the same time after these comments were made - coincidence? Have to agree with the negative reviews I'm afraid, they were awful, intrusive 3 monthly inspections, had a damp issue which took nearly a year to sort out, when it came to moving out there were literally close up photographs of a piece of fluff in the check out inventory (after we had paid a cleaning company for an end of tenancy clean) used to justify an extortionate bill for another full end of tenancy clean - despite it not having been cleaned when we moved in! (various cleaning issues pictured on start of tenancy inventory). Also handed us a quote for £350(!) for trimming an average sized hedge - which we cut to exactly the same height and width as the check in inventory but apparently it needed to be shorter!! Had to dispute through deposit protection to get the cleaning bill back. Will certainly NEVER be using again and would strongly advise against anyone else doing so.... Read more

I have been a property owner with Toseland for many years now. The team have been very helpful, very friendly and extremely supportive in all areas of the business. They always seem to look after the tenants well by reporting quickly anything that might be wrong with the property which is of course good for me as the Landlord as I can rapidly get any necessary repairs done.... When our neighbour moved in they used to be so keen, now they don’t give a toss, the tennant seems to be able to do alterations to the property which is against the landlords wishes. No representatives of toseland ever check up on the property, and complains never get auctioned. If your a landlord wanting these lot to manage your property, I’d seriously think twice.... Read more

Why is zero not an option? Absolutely dreadful. I would not wish their 'customer service' and our experience on my worst enemy! Left us without hot water and heating for 3 weeks when we had that really bad cold spell because they got the face on with us as we wouldn't let a plumber come in the house with us not in! Could have been any Tom, Dick or Harry! And when he came he didn't even find the massive leak onto the electrics in the boiler. When we moved out, they completely screwed us over and took over half of our bond money - £180 of which because the grass had the audacity to grow!! And £90 because there was dust on the skirting boards... a week after we moved out! Even tried to blame us for things that were there before we moved in!! Thank god we have bought our own house so we never have to deal with such tactless cowboys again.... Read more

Rented a property from toseland. Reported numerous issues to them with little to no help/response. Upon leaving the property they send a company around to assess any issues. Apparently there was dust on the skirting boards in one room and some vinegar I had left in a cupboard, they deemed that was sufficient to withhold £100 of my deposit for "cleaning". Avoid renting from them, dreadful experience.... Read more
