A really good venue always well presented show experience. My only criticism on this occasion was that the staff were searching bags and they consficated my daughters water and said that free water was available which under normal circumstances would be fine however we are in the middle of a pandemic and open cups on a table touched by lots of people is not a good thing.... Very nice venue, lightning ,bar etc.
However acoustically not fit for purpose ,noise level will kill your ears ,harsh mid tones and rumbling bass makes listening a torture .
I was last night at Level 42 and left building after 3-rd song, not able to cope with these cascade of sound.
I would suggest some acoustic treatment of these really great hall.
For now it is ok for some theatre performance , acoustic recital or even a banquet but definitely not for pop-rock concert.... Read more

Despite not feeling very well i went to see level 42 and johnny hates jazz who were big acts in the 80'a and was not disappointed. They piayed all their hits plus new material. An excellent match both showing a vast range skills from song writing and excellent playing.Highly recommended.... Read more

Abysmal bar service, before the show and in the interval. Moved approx 3 feet in the queue waiting 15 or so minutes to do so. Only to be informed the bar was now closed. When you put on a performance, why not make sure you have the staff to cater for the audience you have. YOU KNOW THE NUMBERS. Maybe advisable to take uour own but maybe that's against the rules.... Really great time was had as Wayne Dilks played to a sell out 25,000 capacity crowd ...although did see a few people being carried out after fainting.
Judging by the amount of Bras & lingerie items (more than you would find in your local Ann Summers branch) thrown on the stage at the end, a good time was had by the ladies of Cheltenham.....and the local shops can expect a rush to replace said items this weekend.... Read more

Oh dear.
Don't think obtaining a refund from this venue will be easy.
We booked for an April 2020 event in January 2020. It was of course cancelled but rescheduled for July 2021 and subsequently cancelled completely. All along no communication from the venue. So I decided to chase a refund late in April 2021. They are very difficlut to contact. Cheltenham Council (who are a 'stakeholder'in the Cheltenham Trust) gave me unanswered or unobtainable numbers to contact them. I had to contact the Council's customer liason people to get some action. Even then it took 14 days to receive a refund.
Just very poor and 'Covid' is not a valid excuse. Contrast this with the Curve Theatre in Leicester who returned monies without a request very soon after cancelling events last year.

Beautiful building and reasonable view (seats are not raked). Unfortunately, the seats are quite possibly the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in. I have seen two shows here (Sons of Pitches & Nish Kumar) and within 15 minutes in both cases I was extremely uncomfortable, to the extent that it really degrades enjoyment of the show.
It is a terrible shame that for such a beautiful venue they have gone for
the cheapest, nastiest seats they could find.
The seats in the boxes appear to be the same horrible things, so there is no solace to be found there.... Read more

Glorious building in a glorious Spa town. They have all kinds of entertainment here from live music, record fair's, comedians, etc etc. (I won't make a list as they have a website you can check out.) The building was one of only 2 or 3 places you could taste the glorious Spa water that Cheltenham was famous for many years ago. (I think it tastes terrible). There is a bar room in here which is also used for some events like the record fairs they hold, and the main room with the stage in- for the acts to perform. People say the acoustics in this room are not very good for live bands. Well considering when the place was built, and the fact these bands are playing live it is not going to be like sitting in a studio listening to a play-back. The staff are all friendly and seem to enjoy their work, which rubs off on the general feel of the place. There is also the good Imperial Gardens behind the building which is nice to relax in on a hot summer day.... Read more
