Wish I could leave no stars. Initially the agents were excellent, really good and told them so. However once I agreed to let the property and paid the deposit and 'arrangement fee' it went rapidly downhill. Due to issues that appear to be beyond their control, they let myself let a property that was not ready to be let.
Despite myself emailing for updates the replies were slow and had to be chased continuously.
In the end they admitted that the property should have not have been for let, they wasted 10 weeks of my time and effort, so I asked for my deposit to be returned and I asked and I asked again... eventually they returned it minus the 'arrangement fee'. The 'arranagement fee' was for them arranging for me to let the property from the landlord, this was a property by their own admission, should have not been for let...
So I asked for teh 'arrangement fee' back, nothing... so I advised that I would be taking legal action against them
To which I received this email, which is quite laughable...
Really shocked at your approach. A simple email would have sufficed. We had incurred costs and this app fee is none refundable at stated, However under the circumstances we will refund the amount.

anyway guess what, they still didn't refund me. so basically it seems they are a bunch of con artists...
so I have lodged a claim with the small claims court, reported them to trading standards for thei extremely poor service and judgement on letting a property that should NOT have been let, regarless of what the landlord may have said, what was the 'arrangement fee' for if they wer arranging for me to have a property that wasn't ready? surely it is part of thir job to check this out and if the landlord has mislead the agents, why on earth did they not do their own investigations? isn't that their job?
appalling, also reported to the property ombudsman, they are not fit to run an agency.

My husband and mother in law came into your branch this morning to get some help with looking for rentals and were immediately pushed towards rightmove. I think the most disappointing thing was that there seems to be no compassion towards peoples situations, for example a pensioner who may not know how to use Rightmove or online apps or may not have people who can help them do this and yet are in desperate situations looking for somewhere to live. what is the point of having an office to have customer facing opportunities but then brushing people off and pushing them to apply online.

I popped into this place recently. The grandma and great grandma who work here were very rude and talk to people looking for rentals like they are second class citizens. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.
Oh and I popped into every estate agent in long Eaton that afternoon. You are by far the worst

Really can't thank Wallace Jones enough. They managed our rental property for many years and were always helpful and efficient when dealing with repairs and tenants. When it was time for us to sell, it was great having them 'in our corner'. From marketing all the way through to completion, we felt informed and advised and we really did have a painless experience, despite being overseas for the whole process. Would highly recommend.

We recently sold our house through Wallace Jones Estate Agents. We thought long and hard about whether to go with one of those online firms that seem to be springing up all over the place. I am so pleased we went with Wallace Jones. Adrian's knowledge of the local area and property market saved us considerable time and stress with our house sale. Adrian and his team never missed an opportunity in finding us a buyer and once the sale was agreed, walked us through the whole process making sure all the i's were dotted and t's were crossed, leading us to a successful sale. 3 members of staff made me feel so worthless that i cried
Rude and uncaring making out that people lie would say dont rent from these its ok when you do your own repairs but if you report things are wrong nothing is done to help you

I received a fantastic service from Wallace Jones. A much more personable service than some of the larger estate agents. I spoke to Adrian, at the Long Eaton office, regularly throughout my sale. He was excellent at returning my calls and emails promptly, and updating me regularly. I felt like I always knew what was going on (which has not always been the case with agents I've used on previous house sales).
I can highly recommend Wallace Jones and will not hesitate to use them myself if I ever move again in the future.

If I could give 0 stars i would. Unprofessional, lack of communication the list is endless. This company didn't HAVE THE @#$$ DECENCY to inform me that this property had been let. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!:(:(
