Appalling dishonesty blatantly carried out by the Manageress Ruth Hicks. I was brought in to view a property under the false pretence that it had had no previous offers or buyers. When I got there it has a SOLD sign outside so that was the first lie. I made an offer and the seller counter offered there was a £10k difference between us. Suddenly a previous buyer was brought on the scene when I requested a second viewing and they were prepared to pay the sellers counter offer. It's against estate agent regulations for agents to discuss negotiations with other parties. Ruth Hicks the Manageress was avoiding allowing me a second viewing and began rushing me into a decision and as I couldn't submit a further offer without a further viewing began casting doubt on my suitability and commitment as a bona fide buyer to the unfortunate seller. This is highly irregular and unacceptable sales service. Especially as there now turned out to be 6 other failed purchase attempts on the property and the owner needed the money to fund his care in a home. It had been on the market for some time prior to my interest. I had to withdraw as the dishonesty of the branch Manageress made me concerned with regard to submitting personal financial information.... Read more
