AVOID! If I could give zero stars I would. Please read the other 1star reviews. All accurate. Unless of course you enjoy paying someone £ks for doing nothing. Mark does literally the bare minimum to get paid i.e. list your property on right move and maybe email his database. I had to do all the viewings myself (despite asking prior and Williamsons saying they would do them), and chase for feedback. He went on holiday towards the start of our listing with them without telling us. They came to put the for sale sign up and put it facing IN to the garden. We turned it around ourselves. There was very little communication. He will blame the fact that my phone apparently didn't have a ring tone (although it rang and I always answered or called back) despite it being fine for everyone else. And despite it being the 21 century where things like text/WhatsApp/email etc exist. We didn't hear from him again after we accepted an offer, after 3 months I got in touch with them and asked if they could chase things and then it was Lynne who responded. We have still not heard a thing from Mark since. The only saving grace for this agent is Lynne in the office. Lovely and friendly and always willing to help but that was hugely overshadowed by the arrogance and neglect of Mark Williamson himself.

Exceptionally rude man who interrogated me about my own property when I called to request a viewing and then hung up on me with the words ‘Good day to you!’ Beyond parody. I’d heard negative things about them before but this is ridiculous.

The service from the Williamson’s team was brilliant and professional for our recent house sale in the area.
Having a Chartered Surveyor in charge gave us much more confidence with the sale of our house.

Mark was really straight forward, helpful and made everything so much easier to understand. The report he created for us was in detail and easy to read and understand and he made time for us and did his due diligence. He was very quick to call back, his advise helped us a lot. I would highly recommend Mark Williamson for anyone who needs their work done without wasting their time. He does the job very well.

Highly recommended. Good communications with Mark who completed my survey. Mark was responsive and completed the survey and report extremely quickly. The report was clear and he was also was happy to discuss issues raised which allowed me to make some informed decisions as how to deal with particular concerns.

Unfortunately, I have had a similar experience to others. I asked to speak to the manager after my fist dealings not knowing that the person was, disappointingly, the owner. In my opinion, the owner has an attitude problem and comes across as arrogant, condisending and discourteous. It can feel like you are being 'managed'. House purchasing/selling is stressful enough; it did not feel like I was the customer. It must be said that the others in the office were lovely and this score is not a reflection on them.

We needed a surveyor to conduct a building survey on a property we had made an offer on. Mark fit us in quickly, was very responsive to calls and emails, and did a great job on the survey report, taking time to talk us through his findings and valuation. We ended up no purchasing the home and we will definitely be hiring him for whatever surveying needs we have in future.

Well never in my life have we felt the need to write a review, but in this instance people need to be aware what they might be dealing with!
We have done significant work to our property since we moved in 4 years ago and are interested in getting some valuations together, so decided to go on Zoopla and check out the free valuations various local companies are offering. This was set out from the beginning.
Anyway we received a call from Mark (assume is the owner) who quite frankly could not have been a ruder person. Its actually laughable, if you don't want the business don't waste my time or yours by calling us just to be rude, offensive, abrupt, obstreperous and bad mannered. Turns out there are plenty of agents in this area who want to value a 5 bed period house with an acre in a village on the outskirts of Easingwold, so they will be getting the business.
We would like to think that we are in the minority with this experience - however if the reviews are anything to go by I fear not.
Go elsewhere.

Office staff are nice enough, Mark was not.
We were not cash buyers, so there was no interest in talking to us or allowing us to view a property. If that is the guidance of the seller fine, but I would suggest working on communication skills.

Short, rude and not helpful.
Spoke to a gentleman who didn’t build ANY rapport, came straight out with the price (before I even asked and he told me he doesn’t have any property there until he realised he was wrong) and then said I’d have no chance.
I won’t be contacting Williamson’s again. I should’ve listened to advise from friends/family who have heard about the same service.

Absolutely first class service from start to finish. Having used other local estate agents in the past, Williamsons are by far the best. They sold our house within 10 days and it has been seamless throughout. My husband and I would certainly recommend them.
