I had an excellent experience finding a rental property with Haus. Steph and Chloe were very helpful, courteous and kind. They helped me find the right property right away and gave excellent advice whenever I needed it (Which was often!). I really think that they went above and beyond in providing professional and friendly service.
The people working here were nice, and I was quite satisfied with the letting process. However, only when I signed the contract, I was made aware that there was a maintenance firm that had responsibility of the apartment, and I had no time to check them out. They have been quite unhelpful, so I am withdrawing stars for putting me in contract with them. It turned out that there was a lot of issues with the registration of the property, and I am in the middle of a "blame game" between the letting agent, the management company and the owner. Haus does not answer direct questions (or principal questions) on what is their responsibility despite several attempts. They forward e-mails directed to them to the management company - very unprofessional. Hopefully, these issues are unique to this property, but the reaction to criticism might not be.
In addition, the viewing system is a mess, sending incorrect viewing messages, sending viewing messages to all one-bed tenants whether or not there is a viewing in their specific apartment. Lots of viewings in breach with the contract (we should have > 24 h notice). There was a viewing in my apartment when I was traveling, and they did not put the alarm back on.
There are letting agents on every corner - find another one.
Great agents lived with them for 2 years no problems. Allowed me to stay extra 2 weeks for my graduation great bunch of guys.
Terrible experience with this company. The staff and owner are very aggressive when confronted by any issues. Never did any work on the property and took most of our deposit for unreasonable reasons. Would avoided at all cost.

When we started looking for a business we signed up with an account with Ernest Wilson. They sent profiles of relevant businesses on a relevant basis by email and by post (as per my request) following a chat on the phone to get a better idea of what we were looking for.
One evening I spotted a new email from Emma and it included details of a business recently brought to market. I sent an email and it was followed up by a phone call from my business partner in the morning. An appointment was arranged for that evening and we both fell in love with the building immediately.
Emma was fantastic from start to finish. She talked us through the whole process and kept us up to date at every stage. She was quick at responding to any enquiries by phone or email and helped us through the best (and scariest) few weeks of our lives, all the way until completion.
We also attended the offices in Leeds to sign some paperwork. The whole team were friendly, polite and professional and it is easy to see how Emma fits in so well.
Thank you Ernest Wilson for helping us take this big step in our amazing journey! We might be back in touch sooner than you think, when we choose to expand our business ;-)
I would not recommend dealing with this company. Sales people do a good job making out that there will be lots of buyers at the realistic price they had set and their dedicated sales person would keep us up to date. Never heard from anyone in the 6 months that my business was for sale with them, until it was time to pay the £600 bill. DON'T USE........
Their reply to this post says it all. They don't know who Hop Skip & Jump are and can we identify ourselves what a joke. We are Hop Skip & Jump paid you lots of money to do nothing.
Having visited several estate agents in the area I found Manning Stainton to be the most professional. The girls in the office were very friendly, in particular Simone, who dealt with my initial enquiry. They kept me well informed every step of the way, and made my house purchase as stress free as possible. Thanks Manning Stainton. Will highly recommend.
Lies and incompetence from almost each member of staff.
From initially being unable to spell our names right on contracts, to organising a open day on a bank holiday, to putting our property live on Rightmove etc.incomplete and removing for several days losing the new nature our listing and depriving us of valuable interest. On the back of that lying about knowing the cause. To accompanied viewers being unable to work out the keys, and parking in the drive which can fit 3 cars and blocking it preventing the viewer from parking and drawing attention to the narrow private street. Lying about what they would tell potential buyers, releasing info we were told wouldn't be released to buyers for example the minimum we would be prepared to accept. Not including all relevant materials in brochures, we printed specific items ourselves and left around the house. Basic agreements like no viewings between x and x were questioned. The move manager was non-existent promised updates never arrived. We had to do the chasing of our move manger who regularly mis-understood and at one point writing in a mail to us the complete opposite to what had happened. Allowing things to happen which were not allowed in their contract.
Manning Stanton increased our stress levels and needed to be actively managed and chased by us throughout. Terrible service, I won't be using them again.
The similarly worded 5 star google reviews from similar accounts appear to be a little suspicious, I would take these with a pinch of salt.
Want to thank Priestley’s for helping me find my new home. The staff are hugely helpful and knowledgable on the area I wanted to move to. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable estate agents. Thanks once again.
Worst Estate Agents and not willing to help on 'their day off'. Had an alarm ringing for 24hrs now in 1 of their properties but No one is able to open the office for a set of keys to turn it off !!!!!If i could give it no stars then i would!!!
