My step dad and mam rented a house and we spent 1 month cleaning it before we could move in. We were there for 6 year. Repairs were not done. We had no heating on or hot water on for nearly a month when Covid had just started, we couldnt get washed so i had to go and stop with my Gran so i could have a shower incase i caught the virus. We moved into my stepdads house he got left in his dads will last week. Step Dad has had an email today to say they are not giving him his deposit back as the house was dirty. We all cleaned it for 2 days so it wasnt dirty. It could have done with a lick of paint but no one done that for us when we moved in but we left them new paint to do it themselves as we ran out of time to get moved. My step dad put a full new kitchen in and bought carpets out of his own pocket and fully decorated it when we moved in as it was scruffy. Its in a better shape now than it was when we moved in. I just thought i would share this as all ive heard since i come in from school is my parents shouting about been ripped off and how much money they have spent on the house and they pull a dirty trick like this and i agree. Its £500 which is a lot of money. My stepdad just caught me writing this and said it was fine to put it on as i am telling the truth but said to say Rachel at Houghton is spot on and Jess at Low Fell is spot on but cant say what else he said about the company as it was all swearing. Hes gonna take them to court. Han aged 13
