We use property sales data to measure the agents’ performance. So we can tell homeowners exactly which ones would do the best job selling their home.
By using GetAgent, homeowners get more for their home and sell quicker.
The homeowner-facing part of the site may appear quite straightforward, but there’s lots of complexity hidden away!
We have a custom CRM which enables all our interactions with homeowners and estate agents (built with React and uses Plivo/Twilio for telephony). We are planning to 5x in size next year, so you could be working on adding to the CRM to enable people to work more efficiently. We have an exciting (and not straightforward!) outbound telephony plan that should improve efficiency of the Customer Service team substantially - you could lead this project.
We have a comprehensive branch dashboard for our estate agents which includes competitor analysis and lead management (including some fun generating PDFs!). You may work on adding further features that our estate agent customers request.
We’ve built a range of tools to help homeowners on their selling journey - including valuing their property, estimating how long the sale will take and monitoring the performance of their listing. There is a lot more work to be done in this area, such as improving the way we cross-sell ancillaries and giving homesellers more visibility on how their sale is progressing. SO MUCH PROPERTY DATA. We ingest listing data from all the main UK portals every day and cross-reference it with the Land Registry. We leverage our relationship with homeowners and estate agents to enhance our property data even further. You might mine this data to provide housing market insight, or develop tools to help homeowners sell better.
We use this property data to produce some unique research - take a look at our labs section. We've also used machine learning to predict when someone is going to sell. You could build upon this effort and link it up with a marketing strategy.
Oh, and we’ve written and open-sourced our own SASS framework.
As a member of the Tech Team, you’ll work alongside the CTO and Lead Developer. The majority of your day will be working on improving and adding new features to our existing products. As we venture into new products you’ll have the opportunity to dive in however you see fit and lead the process from idea generation and goal setting all the way to measuring the impact of your work.
However the bulk of your day would be spent developing entirely new parts of the platform. You would be involved in the whole process from idea generation and goal setting all the way to measuring the impact of your work. As a result this role would suit someone entrepreneurial who enjoys taking ownership of a project (rather than just does as they're told).
Nice to have but not essential:
We'd expect that you're naturally inquisitive and keen to learn new things. You'd be mentored by the CTO and a Lead Developer and we'll ensure you have the opportunity to learn new technologies and skills.
In 2020 we grew 2x - despite the impact of coronavirus - and we plan to do the same in 2021!
