In my 20 years of dealing with estate agencies, Urban and Rural are by far the best I have come across.
Katie worked incredibly hard to negotiate a purchase price which was fair to both me and the vendor. I genuinely feel she went above and beyond on this front. Unfortunately I had a couple of collapsed chains before I was able to proceed with the purchase, and so it took just under a year (frustrating). None of the issues were caused by U&R, and yet Gareth still took the time and was incredibly productive in chasing up the chain below me, providing me with updates that not even my own agents had troubled themselves to advise me of.
I usually dislike estate agents with a passion, but that was from past experience and these guys are the exceptions. Not once did they lie or mislead me, and although I was not effectively their client, I felt looked after from day one as if I was. They restored my faith that there are some decent agents out there. We finally got the transaction over the line in February, and upon collection of my keys I was presented with a box of goodies (toilet cleaner, bath salts, even a pack of vitamins for my 4 year old). Was not expecting this from an estate agent - a really nice touch.
In summary, these are the best estate agents you will find. Furthermore Katie is by far the most competent and professional negotiator I have ever come across. 5 stars.

Urban & Rural have been absolutely instrumental in helping us to find the perfect home! Ian in particular has been an absolute gem; he provided stellar guidance during the viewing process, listened to our preferences, possesses a wealth of knowledge and has been such a wonderful support during the buying process! Amy, very kindly assisted me with the purchase of my new property in August.
Tracy and Georgina provided focused and detailed weekly updates on the buy/sell chain progression which helped me with clearly understanding the status and therefore enabled me to plan accordingly.
The whole Ampthill team, including Daniel from the Bedford branch, were extremely helpful, honest, practical and unpretentious throughout the entire sales process.
It was a pleasure to deal with them to the point Urban and Rural provided me with updates before the solicitors did.
