If I could give a lower rating I would.
To start, for the year+ we lived in a property rented via Rex gooding we lived in damp, that bad I became ill and had to visit my GP costing time out side of work.
When we tried to raise this with them it was brushed of or they would send a ‘handy man’ to simply ‘look’ at the problem NOTHING was resolved and told to just clean it! They sent a team to fit an extractor fan for the bathroom but then we discovered 9 months down the line they had decided to pull out of that.
There ‘inspections’ are someone Turing up and taking pictures of the house and leaving, completing ignore the black walls from damp.
We were told that our emails would be passed to the correct account holder for our property, Stewart, and they would contact us. He never did.
When we decide to leave the property due to health reason, this experience was disgusting. We left the property in better condition than when we arrived and was faced with a battle to get our deposit back which was £900+. I have only just received it back and we have been out of the property 6 weeks!
When I contacted Rex Gooding they were not at all helpful, I was told it was not there problem and they couldn’t do anything about it and that it’s with DPS to sort. Even though they were the ones who could not contact the landlord to request it back, when I asked to speak to Stewart he always seemed to going out and would call me back, he never did, therefore I had to chase them and he would not want to talk to me. In the end I had to go legal to get my deposit back.
I would avoid this agency at all costs!!

Very good service, quickly allowed to view 3 properties on the same day and within a few days put a deposit down to secure one. Esme was very helpful throughout, helping me secure viewings, deposit, and communicate quickly with the landlord with any requests I wanted with the landlord or contract. Esme was one of the most efficient estate agents I have dealt with which has made relocating a lot less stressful

Wouldn’t recommend. They arrange several views of the property’s at the same time. Also was sent a email saying congratulations the owner wants to rent to you. Sign these form and make a deposit. Only to be told 4 days later when I rang up about getting the keys to the property and the next step, to be informed they offer the property to some one else at the same time and I was no long getting the property. Not very quick at returning deposit as well.

We've used this local estate agents for our last two house moves, and once for buying a property. From the beginning of the exercise, from the initial visit to discuss the sale and value of the property, until the final move of exchange of contracts and completion, I cannot speak highly enough of the outstanding service we have received from Rex Gooding. The staff have been exceptional in their friendliness and communication skills, with a special mention to Lauren who has definitely gone the 'extra mile' for us in this last sales experience, and has shown great resilience when situations were far from run of the mill, but I would definitely recommend the firm and give all their employees huge credit and praise for a job well done. Thank you all!
