I have to share the scoop on my recent run-in with Rolfe East. It was a rollercoaster, and I'm waving the red flag for anyone thinking about buying a property with them.
So, we had this agent, Ash, all smiles during viewings, making us think we found our dream home. But it was just the beginning of their little game.
They kept bugging us until we hit an offer that seemed to hook the landlord. Pumped us up, saying, "We are delighted that your offer has been accepted!" But guess what? Next day, they hit us with an email saying someone else threw in a bit more, and we're out.
And get this – after all that drama, they had the audacity to ask for an extra 5k to seal the deal. When Ash mentioned many times that he dealt with the landlord in the past and was sure that just a much bigger offer would have made them change their mind!
Long story short: Save yourself some time. They're playing games and messing with people's dreams. Save yourself the stress and find an agency that's not all about the shady business.

James, Ash, Emma and the rest of his team were really supportive through the whole process. We dealt with them over the probate value of this property and then the selling of the property.
We got regular feedback and updates. There was not anything we asked of them that they did not do.

Ash and James helped us find and purchase a house in Acton - they're both absolute legends! They contacted us as soon the property came to market as it was exactly what we were looking for. The service was fantastic due to excellent communication, attention to detail and the fact they genuinely cared about both us and the sellers too. They're a credit to their industry, and I highly recommend.

Jay helped let our home. Jay was very professional and personable throughout the viewing and tenant selection phases. Beyond arranging the tenant, Jay consistently kept in communication with us to ensure a smooth moving in process for them. Would recommend Jay and the team to any future landlords.

At first Rolfe East seemed like the perfect agents to let my property: welcoming, paid attention to detail and took the time to go through the renting process with me as I was a first- time land lady. However as soon as they secured my business things went downhill. Rolfe East would not answer my calls regarding rather important issues such as incorrect amounts deducted from my monthly statements, I was dealing with a different person every time I did manage to get through (often after multiple redirections and phone calls- on average I probably spent 1-2 hours on the phone to them per week. This made the renting process extremely stressful for me... not to mention the fact that I am paying £150 per month management fee to Rolfe East for what appears to be no work on their part.) My last resort to try and communicate with the agents was to write a strongly worded email to the 12 people from the company that I had been dealing with at various points, including the directors: Simon East, Ashley Rolfe, Andy Wakefield and yer not one person replied to me. I followed this up with yet another email when I received another incorrect monthly invoice and yet again not even the directors bothered to contact me. This company boasts customer service awards- frankly that is laughable. DO NOT USE ROLFE EAST unless you want to waste your money and time and gain a whole lot of stress. I made a huge mistake in using them.

Having stayed with different letting agents while in London, In my 6 years experience I would rate Rofle East lettings as the best. From start to finish of the tenancy agreement the assistance, support and advice I received from branch manager Alison Butler, letting in charge Denise Martin was superb. Andy Wakefield at management office was always quick to respond if I had a maintenance issue. Even the check out went smooth. They are honest, trustworthy and reliable letting agents I ever meet. Special thanks to Alison, Denise, Andy and the Landlord that assisted me through out my tendency. I recommend Rofle East to anyone who is looking for a trusted letting agents. ????
