In order to help bring my father closer to where my wife and I live, we began this process of selling and relocating.
I initially researched some local and national estate agents. and began to put together a picture of the value of properties in the area. I then reached out to a number of agents to get valuations.
Shaw & Co stood out for us, they provided us with a sense of understanding and professionalism. We ended up choosing Shaw & Co as they offered a number of key factors:
1. Local office that made contact easy
2. Strong presence in the local area
3. Competitive rate
4. Ability to present the right type of client
During the sales process, they made all of the steps easy to understand, from arranging the EPC certification assessment to provided lots of clear comms when arranging viewings.
When we eventually found a property that suited my fathers needs, they were able to keep the ball rolling and when we accepted the final offer, they worked well to keep both all parties up to speed on the exchange and completion stages.
My goal was to bring my elderly father closer to where my wife and I live so that he could feel more connected to us, and with the help of Shaw & Co, we did that.
