Absolutely excellent service, sale went through during lockdown. Cannot recommend them enough. I have been on both sides, selling and buying, and would not use anyone else.
I can’t say enough about the service we received from Sowerby’s Burnham Market in the purchase of our new cottage in Thornham. In particular, Karen Lewis-Mitchel was so proactive, responsive and connected with the developer and everyone involved that it really made the whole process run seamlessly. Having purchased multiple other properties in the past, I can honestly say this was the easiest and least stressful we have been through. To top all this off, the day after we closed, I stupidly left the key in the door of the property and drove back to Nottingham. I called Karen on a Sunday and she gladly went to retrieve the key and ensure all was well. Just above and beyond service!!
Having dealt with Octavia in the Dereham office, all I can say is her prefomance was fabulous. She not only listened to my requests but also suggested other options. Efficient, engaging and genuine. Overall amazing.
Sowerby's gave a good pitch but after we were on their books to sell they were very poor, from delays to getting the house pictured and onto market to me having to chase them regularly to find out what was going on. They're recommendations on what to do seemed hit and miss and there was a feeling that they were waiting for the sale to happen and were not proactive. When it came to showing the house to potential buyers they used gaop year students who were children of the owner. They would turn up a few mins before the buyers would arrive and know nothing about the property and expect us to do the showing around. Overall a very poor experience.
Not great ! They promised far more than they delivered ! We were promised drone shots of our property more times than I can remember ,when chasing them up as to why it hadn't happened I was always fobbed of with "it's too windy, too sunny ,not enough sun etc,etc . They failed to return messages that were left ,which was extremely frustrating.
Considering they "put themselves out there" as Norfolk's premier estate agents I dread to think what the other agents are like !!The only person who had their "finger on the pulse" was Rachel ,as for the others ...............
When viewing a house in Dersingham I mentioned to their staff that I am planning to run a holiday accommodation. At no point said staff made us aware of the string of restrictive covenant the house came with, which only came to light just before exchange of contract. Wasted money and time with surveyors and solicitors.
As the vendor of a property, I found Sowerbys very efficient. I primarily dealt with Alison and Ellie, both of whom were very responsive to questions and very easy to deal with - nothing was too much trouble for them. I would happily use Sowerbys again.
Excellent service from the word go. The Norwich sales team were both knowledgeable and professional. We were given sound advice on all aspects of our sale from the first conversation all the way through to completion.
Sowerby’s gets a high recommendation from us. Aaron Stannard and Sally Jackson both deserve a mention for their excellent customer service and keeping us updated on a regular basis on the purchase of our property during these unprecedented times. We are looking forward to dropping in to the Norwich Office to say hello and a huge thank you.
My husband and I bought a retirement home in Wells-next-the-Sea, just as we started the legal procedure lockdown took place. We were therefore unable to collect the keys upon completion, secure the place, and make arrangements for some much needed TLC. Julian at Sowerbys looked after our keys for us, and gave us information of a reliable and trustworthy local decorator that was able to work during lockdown (following social distancing guidelines). We still haven't visited the cottage yet but know the keys are in safe hands with Sowerbys to keep an eye on it.
Lorna and Paula of Sowerbys Fakenham have been very helpful and professional. They have helped and supported me through every step in the process of buying a property in Norfolk. I would highly recommend them as a team.
