(I have rented flats for over 10 years in 3 different countries, and yes, Scotland is my home) I don't normally write reviews but Fineholm are one of the most unorginised agencies I have rented with. Whether it be the agency or the landlord alone, they collectively have a terrible way of 'looking after' their tenants. Money motivation can be a terrible thing and it can lose respectful tenants and landlords. I moved into a dirty flat - and by dirty I mean it was not cleaned by the previous tenant - I was offered money as compensation. Also, the boiler broke twice for 6 days (collectively) in the winter and I was never offered any compensation. Of course, After 6 months I decided enough was enough and handed in my notice. Fineholm tried to charge me a cleaning fee and I disputed that straight away with SDS. I had taken videos and photos of the flat because I already suspected they would try and take money from me. During the dispute, I could see emails from the landlord and agency and the landlord's attitude did not help them at all. I got every single penny of my deposit back of course. Had I looked at the previous reviews of the agency before I rented, I would have never rented a flat with Fineholm.... Read more

Absolutely shocking letting agency - They never sent an application out following a viewing on a property. After repeated attempts at calling the agency to request an application their adviser was 'busy' and made no attempt to call back either. I would avoid Fineholm at all costs and go with a reputable agency in the Glasgow area. This company are also unware of recognising a valid complaint.... Read more

At the end of tenancy if your flat is sparkling they'll take £165 for grubby skirting boards, ceiling fan and extremely superficial dust. £45 for rubbish disposal of less than 10 items of crockery kindly left for the next tenant. You might as well leave the place upside-down it really doesn't matter. You won't be getting that deposit back. My landlord was actually shocked at what they were trying to charge for and gave me some of the money back.... Read more

I would avoid using this agency at all costs, started of okay although the condition of the property when we moved in was not up to scratch, we spent the first day deep cleaning every room as it was clear it had not been professionally cleaned after the previous client had moved out. The fridge/freezer was disgusting, black mould in the bathroom and the overall cleanliness was poor. We stayed in the flat for 6 months roughly and moved out due to Covid-19 and we were sent the moving out report. This contained a stained mattress that was not ours and we have pictures of this as proof. The agency finally agreed that it was not our fault but the landlord still wanted us to pay which was completely unreasonable. Very let down with this company and will not be using them again, do not recommend.... Read more
