2nd Jun 2024 (12 days ago)Given the difficulty of starting a rental process in Oxford, I have to say that with Carter Jones it has been very easy. The aspects to highlight are: quick response, ease of visiting the property, clarity in the application process, and immediate support via email or phone calls when I had questions. I have to say that this was the first time I rented through an agency and I was terrified by how complex the process could be. It has all been easy and quick, and for that, I am very grateful.

The depth of James Cridland's experience and knowledge is rare and exceptional and we felt in the safest of hands throughout. His maxim that there is always a solution meant that he navigated every obstacle that presented itself with great intelligence and care. He sees the whole picture and can and will talk with the utmost skill and diplomacy to any party involved to help facilitate the process. We have been amazed at the lengths he and his team have gone to on our behalf and we think we would have fallen at many posts without this level of unremitting dedication. All this with great kindness, humour, consistent communication and a cheerful "worry not" at the most stressful moments. Being so well established, Cridland & Co. also have wonderful local contacts, including removals companies and are happy to share these to help make life easier. The spot-on pricing and marketing of our house resulted in genuine viewings and offers, all handled with enormous skill and in such a way that created the least disruption for us. We walked into Connells and met Jack Ballard near the start of our journey to getting a house. He has been amazing from start to finish, explaining everything to us in an easy to understand and concise manner. Jack has gone above and beyond helping us with our mortgage and insurance. He has regularly checked in with us making sure we are up to date, don’t feel forgotten about and has helped us with chasing the other estate agents and solicitors to make sure we reached our deadline. Incredibly professional, always reachable, supportive and understanding throughout the process. In addition we made a tidy profit on both houses. From the very beginning, through exchange and past completion Savills was always there and supportive. I would like to mention Nicky Quentel and Huw Warren who are absolutely outstanding. 4th May 2024 (6 weeks ago)Mark David ‘MD’ do not follow The Property Ombudsman Code ‘TPO.’ I terminated MD. When I later exchanged contracts, MD invoiced in full. Successful agent said MD not entitled to Dual Fees given no Effective Introduction, which MD accept. So I queried the invoice. 35 minutes later, and not addressing the TPO points, MD threatened court. Despite MD being in breach of contract, the court found for them under an Agency Terms tail. Learnings: i. TPO must take precedence in the contract; ii. MD are highly litigious

Once decision to put house on market, all the necessary paperwork, organisation of viewing EPC and marketing material was carried out efficiently.

1st Apr 2024 (11 weeks ago)We have recently completed the sale of my 91-year-old uncle's bungalow through Property Owl. Over the years, I have been involved in selling a number of properties with varying experiences of agents and I have to say that Ammar's service was truly exceptional. My uncle sometimes gets a bit confused about dealing with administrative matters, and Ammar was very patient and thoughtful with him - it was his first house move in 50 years, so very stressful for him. Ammar's kindness and patience was very helpful as we live over an hour away. He also chased the sales process very effectively, liaising with the buyer, the solicitors involved and the sales lady at the retirement complex my uncle moved into; he kept us informed about the progress throughout. He even offered to take cuttings from a bush in the garden, and turned up on moving day to help where he could! Recommended unreservedly - thanks, Ammar!
