29th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)********** AVOID AT ALL COSTS *********** I rented a flat in Bournemouth for 7 1/2 happy years and then these despicable people became involved. This is what they call customer service: 50% of lights went out in property - 3 1/2 Months to get these fixed Fault on a GAS Boiler - Sent a link to You Tube and said here's how you can fix it. when challenged their response was " Landlords prefer that Tenants resolve their own maintenance issues " Demanded entry on a day that suited their schedule, when advised that tenant would not be available and offered alternative dates so that premises could remain secure and tenants property could remain secure they advised they were going to access on the day they wished access and that the tenants wishes did not matter. Taps dripping in bathroom, reported November 2023 when reminder was sent in MARCH 2024 they issued a section 21 notice Almost 3 weeks after vacating property deposit has not been returned and they are ignoring all emails possibly because they want to try to make up stories so that they can steal the deposit. I would give MINUS 100 Stars if I could . These people are vile and are the worst people I have ever had the displeasure of having to suffer. AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT A COMFORTABLE LIFE IN A WELL MAINTAINED PROPERTY WHERE YOU CAN RELY ON A PROMPT RESPONCE TO ANY ISSUES, RELY ON PROPERTY BEING SECURE AND RELY ON YOUR PRIVACY

While they were representing the seller, they couldn't have been more helpful to us. Communication was excellent, especially Andrea who was always pushing things along as much as possible.

4th May 2024 (28 days ago)Just bought a house through Foxes with Ben. Havent always had positive experiences with estate agencies, but can honestly say this was so different. Easiest ever purchase. Ben was so helpful and accomodating, nothing was too much trouble. Jo kept us regularly updated on every step of our sale progress, we got the house we wanted at a good price, just got keys and so so happy. A very nice personal touch with the little welcome box, its those personal touches and that customer service that makes such a difference to a buyers experience. Would absolutely recommend, thank you Ben and all the Foxes team for such a smooth purchase experience. 10/10.
21st Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)I was recommended by my client to go with Slades for the sale of our flat in southbourne, she said how great James Greenhalgh was and we went for them and never looked back. We listed our flat back in April 2023 and admittedly it was a tough year for sales but James went the extra mile to make sure we would sell, we had extra photos taken, there was a lot time spent to get our listing attractive. There was never too much to ask. James remained very calm and professional which helpful as it was such a stressful and anxious time. We finally sold and James ensured the sale went as smoothly as possible and any issues I had James would address them and promptly get back to me. We completed within 12 weeks (selling and buying) and we could not of done this without the help of James. Thank you again!

15th May 2024 (17 days ago)After sending my feedback directly to Palmer Snell over a week ago and as expected not receiving a response, i will now post here. My partner and I decided to both sell our flats to hopefully buy somewhere together. As two first time sellers, we have had an awful experience with Palmer Snell. Please see the reasons below we decided to take both properties off the market with Palmer Snell and list with a different agent. - From the first viewing onwards, we have had loo to constantly chase for feedback for days and days after the viewings. This was frustrating from the get-go, especially with the difficulty of getting through to the office. On some days, I called hourly to try and actually get through to someone. I dread to think how difficult it would be to try and arrange a viewing. -On multiple occasions, it would take weeks to get a response to texts or emails despite multiple follow-up emails and voicemails. This started once we had signed a contract; before signing the contracts, we would get responses within hours, which never quite sat right with us. - At one point, a potential buyer asked questions regarding the lease, which I provided the same day to Palmer Snell. When I called to ask about this potential buyer a week later, I was told the agent had been too busy to read the lease and asked if I could do it instead. At this point, the buyer was no longer interested. No apology for the lack of communication or incompetency was provided. It was a 'why don't you do yourself' approach. If we wanted to sell the properties ourselves, we wouldn't have hired an agent. -When we had valuations for both of our properties, we were told photographers would be attending. This was never arranged for my property despite chasing this up multiple times. Photos were taken on an iPhone, which would not have been a problem if we were not told differently prior to signing a contract. -We were also told our listing would be premium listings - it took multiple emails and calls to actually get this to happen which we found really unprofessional. -Throughout, there has just been an overall lack of contact - every update from pre and post-sale we have needed to chase for ourselves. There was no initiative to help the sale through or to provide any form of reassurance. As first-time sellers, this is something we really struggled with, and the whole process has lacked any form of personal touch or consideration and ultimately just been made as stressful as possible. We now have a complete lack of confidence that Palmer Snell has been doing everything possible to help with the sale. To be entirely honest, I would have resented making payment if the sale were to have continued, as it would be for a service that has only ever involved opening the front door around five times, nothing more. We both had a really good impression after meeting Michael and Connor at the valuations and are really shocked at how we have been treated. The silver-lining of our flats being marketed elsewhere is that we will not have to make payment to Palmer Snell but to an agent who is willing to do the work. On a side note, since listing the properties elsewhere within only a matter of weeks ago we now have an offer at full asking price, our experience with the new agent could not have been more different.

Now that I've settled into my new place, I couldn't be happier. The location is spot on, with lots going on within the local area and has plenty of amenities right at my doorstep. 13th May 2024 (19 days ago)Every time you enquiry about a property they add you to their data base and you began getting texts about random propeties you are not interested in. There is no way that you can just ask to view a propery and after checking you are an Ok potencial tenant, they just arrange a viewing! No, they have to call you and make you register whilst you insist is just this one flat I am interested, they have to spam you and some time not even answer emails for the flats you really want to see. Honestly, If I see a property with Palmer Snell or A and W (they are the same) I will not bother to ask for a viewing. You are putting people off with this annoying system, and I am not sure if comply with GDPR.

18th Mar 2024 (11 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
