Having built and lived for so long in this house I was very apprehensive but it was handled so efficiently and thoughtfully by Nick and the photographer I did not feel at all pressurised or troubled by anything..the viewing went particularly well ,as far as I was concerned ,as it was all taken off my hands and discreetly dealt with.

We encountered them when buying a house a few years ago and were impressed at their fairness in handling the buyer/seller balance. Hence tje decision to use them when selling. This last transaction fell at a difficult time and had some complications but they showed patience, persistence, courtesy and even humour. In brief, we trust them.- 1st Jun 2021 (3 years ago)Nick of Jackson-Stops was extremely helpful in communicating between us and the Vendor. We were buying from overseas, and his support in virtual viewings and addressing programme and technical issues, was invaluable. We are extremely happy with our new house and remain on good terms with the Vendors, who have also been very helpful with the transition of ownership.

22nd Jul 2024 (15 weeks ago)I have dealt with thomlinsons for nearly 13 years and have always found the staff to be friendly if I had any issues they were dealt with as soon as they could I have mostly dealt with Jane Bruce at wetherby what a lovely lady Jane is my emails and calls were always replied to as soon as possible I have not ever not had a response Jane is knowledgeable on all aspects of housing matters and is a kind caring lady I would not hesitate to use thomlinsons again
13th Jul 2024 (16 weeks ago)No idea how this estate agent sells houses or if they only earmark properties they post for specific clients/buyers already known to the business. Very oddly run, you phone up and are put through to an admin team of sorts, never an agent. They will take your details and say they will pass it onto the agent who will allegedly phone you themselves, they won’t give you the agents details either so you have to just wait for this call. It’s been just over a week of me trying to view a particular property, phoned in multiple times to no avail. - Update, if you find out who the agent dealing with the property is, you can try find their contact details on the actual website, the lady I dealt with was actually sound & treated me the way I’d expect to be, like 90% of other estate agent companies would’ve.
31st Jul 2024 (13 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

They know the area extremely well and the market. I would highly recommend GSC Grays at Boroughbridge. The conveyancing team were also very good and kept us informed as the sale progressed to completion. Thank you.
