8th May 2024 (7 days ago)Three estate agents were asked to tender for the opportunity to sell our late parents house in Didcot, after all the tenders had been submitted we chose Thomas Merrifield and its representative Jamie to act on our behalf. And what a good choice we made, Jamie was never ever less than totally professional, the marketing of the house was quickly organised with the results put online promptly, subsequent enquiries and viewings were dealt with by Jamie, to our surprise it wasn't long before an offer was received which we were happy to accept. A mere twelve weeks from that initial meeting and all the legal stuff has been completed, the sale of the house is now finalised, new owners have taken possession and our old house of 40+ years is about to embark on a new adventure with its new family. We could not have done this without the help, guidance and advice from the team at Thomas Merrifield, especially Jamie. Thank you guys, you are heartily recommended.

1st May 2024 (14 days ago)Jamie was a star as was his team in brokering and maintaining the sale of my mother’s house after she went into a care home. Hard at the best of times to sell a house, especially with so many family memories. But it is a relief and I hope all the best for the future family that have secured a great location and wonderful neighbours. Thank you Belvoir and Jamie.

Their communication was excellent, always keeping us updated and very responsive if we left messages or emails. They worked really hard to find buyers for a slightly unusual property. I would highly recommend them.

4th Oct 2023 (7 mo. ago)We have just bought and sold with Hillier and Wilson. Their local knowledge was a great bonus in getting us into our new home. The whole team were always available to answer questions or deal with chain issues in a quick and positive manner. Carol, in particular, was a major driving force in liaising with solicitors and the rest of the chain to get the whole chain to completion. I would thoroughly recommend them, whether buying or selling.

We have seen many flats and the way how they show them, so we can tell Romans Thilehurst are the best :) From start to finish, their team was professional, but also they had such a human approach and were incredibly helpful. Brilliant agent Nathan Poulter showed us the flat. Brilliant Lorraine Coakley continued our process with paperwork and all the formalities. The letting process was smooth and transparent, making us feel well-supported throughout our entire process. I appreciate their dedication to ensuring people have an excellent letting experience. I highly recommend Romans for anyone looking to find their perfect home with zero hassle!

4th May 2024 (11 days ago)AVOID AT ANY COST if you are a landlord! Chancellors handled my last tenancy extremely poorly from start to finish. It was so bad I had to get the ombudsman involved who ruled against Chancellors and awarded significant compensation. From losing keys (and refusing to pay for them), to messing up the tenancy documentation, and a section 21 notice to evict my tenant, the whole process went by very poorly. Their 'fully managed' tenancy service means they contract out property management to a third party company in Bracknell (Thameside Property Management - google reviews if you don't believe how bad it is), so you won't get a local contact for PM tasks. TPM have a very high turnover rate of demoralized staff, who will ignore your calls and emails, and struggle to do their job properly. Please please save your sanity and go with another lettings agent if you are a landlord!
