I used Pennine Kennedy for a new build conveyance last year and my experience was absolutely awful.
They made a significant mistake in their memorandum of advice.
Their negligence on the matter has caused me to lose almost £70k. I found that they are unresponsive when you need legal counsel the most, perhaps because of high staff turnover and because they take on too many matters.
What is even more disrespectful and a wonton breach of their duty of care to clients is that I raise a complaint in January and still have not received a response. They keep stalling me.
I am now taking it up with SRA, Legal Ombudsman, and lawyers.
If I were doing it again, I would use a conveyancer that comes recommended by an impartial party (not real estate agents that refer work to them) and has the capacity to handle the conveyance with the care it deserves.... Read more
