Rang branch today at 09.40 to ask for your head office contact number. Lady that answered was extremely rude and hung up. Not what you would expect from a Professional company. Could you play back the call and provide your staff with adequate training.

She was very professional, but down to earth in a way that made me feel comfortable and welcomed! Kelcie was extremely helpful throughout the entire process of me applying for a property and delivered every answer for a question I had, with a smile! As I am sure most people know, moving can be a very stressful time, but I can most certainly say Kelcie made the experience a lot less scary! Went for some assistance and advice regarding some required documentation. Yes the more complicated they can make it the more the charges are. Just joking. Fantastic help, brilliant staff and customer interaction. Can not fault tem to date.

I had such a great experience finding a flat with William H Brown. Kelcie was so helpful and always willing to go above and beyond to help me with any queries or issues I had. She made the overall process very stress free and constantly communicated with me to make sure I was up to date on my knowledge of the properties I viewed.
She is a true credit to the William H Brown Pudsey team.

I would like to give an extensive review for William H Brown.
Let me explain why:
I moved into a property in Yeadon 5/2/2024 under the impression that this was a new property, no one in it before me, and that everything (appliances etc) worked. This was sadly not the case. For context, I live by myself and I’m a 28 year old female.
I informed William H Brown on the day I moved in that the following didn’t work:
- fridge freezer
- washing machine
- bathroom heater
- dishwasher
- bedroom heater hanging off the wall
- Parking fines
WHB advised me since I was a tenant I could park on site (smart parking camera controlled) and I would not be charged. I gave my registration. After moving in I received the parking fine after fine after fine racking up to over £2000. I tell this to the developer and WHB who tell me they will sort this. 16/04/2024, this has still not been rectified and I am being chased by Debt Recovery Plus for over £2000 in fines.
I have email and written proof of all of this.
They told me that they’d fix these issues. 1 week later I email again to reiterate that I don’t have a working fridge/freezer and that my food was going bad. 2 weeks later this is still not fixed. I email again… they signpost me to a ‘developer’ of the building. I call these people and they have no idea of my address. I call back William H Brown and they say they will sort this for me.
1 week goes by I still have no working appliances and no one has contacted me. I call William H Brown again to fix the issues they said I have to call the developer as that’s my problem. I say ok, I call the developer they tell me someone will come out the day after.
I stay home from work waiting for a contractor to come and fix the flat. No one comes. *shock* I call the developer again they say we’ll get back to you. I call/email WHB to let them know what the outcome is. No reply from them.
Another 5 days goes by. Baring in mind this is almost 1 month of living in a flat where NOTHING works. A contractor comes to review the flat. He has a look, pokes around in the cupboards and tells me, “yes, you’re right. Nothing works. I’ll phone the developer and I’ll get back to you.”
I let you guess what happens next. No one calls, emails or comes back to fix the flat. I call the developer back and ask if someone is coming to fix the flat, all the while keeping in contact with several branch’s and different people from William H Brown. The developer tells me they will send someone out to fix the problem tomorrow.
No one comes.
I call them back and they say someone will come tomorrow. I wait in and no one comes. So I call again and they say someone will be with you today.
The second contractor turns up and says “yes, your right nothing works. There are no plug sockets for any of the appliances behind the cupboards so there is nowhere to get power from. I will have to attach your fridge to an extension across the kitchen (health and safety) for you to have power. I ask, “when will this be properly fixed?” He says he hasn’t a clue but will get back to me asap.
Long story short, this never was fixed. It went on like this for 3 months. Back and forth, back and forth with no avail. I ended up being prescribed Sertraline by the doctors and had a breakdown where I went missing for 4 days as I couldn’t handle the stress.
After challenging this I asked if I could be released from my contract to move out. They told me no. Then they told me yes, but I have to pay rent until someone else moves in, then they told me I didn’t have to pay rent and that I could be released then they changed there mind… tiring isn’t it?
this is still an ongoing issue.

First time to use William H Brown to look at house, unfortunately house was sold and was advised by their colleague to use there mortgage advisor but I was booked in a week advanced so plenty of time notice. Keep getting miss calls of them and when call back they say they will call me back but I heard nothing when that day arrived for mortgage appointment, they say I'm no longer booked in as their advisor are all booked. But I'm sorry at least tell me that before booking me in or tell me that when I call back or leave me a voicemail but no you like to waste my time that I am unable to get back. How can I trust this company to help me with my house purchase when they can't keep their promises.
William H Brown even if you ask me to email you etc so you can look into it. Unfortunately I have lost time that cannot be returned so why am I gonna use my precious time for you to look into something then give me some sort of excuse.
UPDATE
The area manager reached out to me and explained her colleagues have been calling me numerous times and she provided me with time and dates, when I replied her email with my call logs to prove the time and dates of the calls were made by me not the branch. This shows you what these people are like, they telling lies to manager and manager use them time and dates they allegedly have called me to say they did call me. I have heard no replies from the manager since I provided evidence she was wrongly say they did call me.

She found me the best deal for my mortgage and sorted out all the extras for me. Would highly recommend using her, she's so helpful. Goes the extra mile to get the best mortgage for your needs. A very tramatic valuation experience.
I feel the need to warn people about William H Brown valuer, Elle Parsons.
She was very unprofessional to put it mildly.
She was being verbally disrespectful & demeaning to other estate agents. She also mocked other estate agents valuations of my house.
She did not stop talking from the moment she entered my house. She was not interested in listening to anything I had to say. She mocked me for measuring the rooms in my house with a tape measure, stating, "We don't live in the 1970's". So very rude!
She was in my house for around 45 minutes. She only left, because I explained I had to go to work, at which point she stated that she would have normally been there for another hour an a half to talk through everything. Why!?? And even after I ushered her to the front door, she was lingering in my hallway, still talking for another good 5 minutes.
A very unpleasant experience. I certainly got narcissist vibes from this women. I feel sorry for William H Brown, as in my opinion, they have employed someone who is representing their company very badly.
Safe to say I will not be using William H Brown to sell my house.

I have recently sold through William H Brown and the staff at Pudsey were professional and friendly. Excellent service got a great price for the property and the staff were always happy to answer any questions no matter how small. I would highly recommend this agent.

We had James Hardwick recommended to us for marketing our property for rental and what a good recommendation it was - James was in touch all the time regarding viewings and any paperwork there was never any pressure put on us to go with William H Brown but once meeting James we felt confident with him, James is very professional, friendly and conscientious, if you want a job doing properly don’t hesitate contacting James he’s a top bloke.

Unfortunately I was slightly let down by William H Brown Estate Agents in Pudsey, throughout my experience of buying a house via auction. Multiple staff members gave me incorrect advice regarding buying through auction & actually caused delays in me buying my house. I ultimately had to deal with the manager of the branch only named Lisa who was apologetic & helpful. Over-all the process was more stressful than it needed to be & definitely showed a lack of experience/training with this branch. I got there in the end though.
