25th Apr 2024 (21 days ago)I don't know why but, I feel they are just waste of time. they show house to about 30 people. then they call for interview with the owner. Owner is least interested in talking and decides just by looking at you if you can afford to pay the rent. Decision takes forever and meanwhile if we follow up. Once, very interested to reply guy (Anil Ranakoti) turns to a not interested to talk and reply guy. when called to know the status says ' you don't have to call, if you are selected you will get to know' I am serving notice to my current landlord, i can't let you take your own sweet time to reply.

From the get go George has communicated fantastically and always been contactable and he has kept us up to date throughout the process.
18th Apr 2024 (28 days ago)2024- another year of excellent service from property manager David. Always helpful and dealing with issues of any. Highly recommended. A massive thanks to the whole team in lettings at St Albans branch, starting from viewings done by lovely Paula, property management by David, unreserved help from Vicky, Roni and Nadya all from start to finish! I would highly recommend their services as they are always avaiable to help.

20th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Do not recommend. They were ok at beginning of tenancy as they want to make money Ofc. But extremely difficult at end of tenancy. They tried to take my deposit for things I was not responsible for such as a faulty boiler (which I reported months before I handed in my notice). They were aware of this as they provided the inventory. Very difficult and rude admin personnel. Avoid. Avoid.

21st Apr 2024 (25 days ago)Avoid at all costs! REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I would give 0 stars if possible. One year ago I expressed interest in a property and signed a contract with them. The contract was legally supposed to turn into a rolling contract but less than two months left from the end of the fixed-term part, they tried to force me into signing another fixed term contract with an unfair rent increase. Taking side with the landlord, they issued a section 21 notice and I moved out but now they ask me to pay the rent for the duration I have not lived in the property and had no access to it (because I handed over the keys to them upon moving out).

I got easily mortgage offer with low rate because of his strength. Micheal Gomes and the entire Fairfield staff were very professional and great to work with for the whole process of purchasing my house.

They are not the cheapest but the service they provide is of a real premium standard. They are always quick, efficient, and professional in all dealings. They also have good business sense and connections. They generated far more interest on the sale of the property then another agent we had on a multi agent deal. Would recommend.
3rd Mar 2024 (11 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. If something needs replacing or fixing will they even respond?

17th Nov 2023 (5 mo. ago)Please avoid renting with them at all costs! You will never get your deposit back. Our flat was 30+ year old and tired as you would expect, which we accepted when we moved in. We lived there only 11 months as the house was poorly insulated, we even had ice inside the house in the winter months, they never fixed it (among other things) so we decided to leave the flat. To our surprise, when we handed over the house, they brought their 'expert', a guy called Mark who has been with them for ages, as an 'independent' inspector, who obviously isn't. They will claim all kinds of non existent changes and damages and deduct if from your deposit! they event claimed is our fault that a crack appeared on the ceiling! AVOID!
18th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!- 6th May 2024 (10 days ago)The Lettings team, Mark, Grace and Evie at Gibbs Gillespie in Northwood are absolutely fantastic. They are all very professional, supportive and caring. I wholeheartedly recommend Gibbs Gillespie in Northwood for their exceptional customer care. Great people.
