My husband and I tried to rent a property through this agency. Initially, the person who helped us and was in charge of carrying out our entire process was very friendly and attentive. Suddenly our agent informed us that the property we were interested in no longer had its initial value and whether there would be any problems for us. As the added value was not much, we informed them that everything was fine. They sent a reference check link and we filled it in with all the necessary information and were honest and loyal to everything they told us, including that my husband had VAT, which was something that helped us a lot in our financial adjustment process. Shortly after we completed the entire process of filling out the information, my husband contacted our agent and asked if there would be any problem, as he had to inform about IVA, which until then we didn't know if this would affect the process. The agent asked why we didn't inform her sooner. So we said, “It wasn't reported because they just weren't asked about it in the interview.” - But we were sincere when reporting all this information in the verification link. And even so, they continued the process to rent the property, they even requested full payment of the deposit and we did so. Not only did we agree to pay the extra rent, but we also made some good offers. This entire process, which should have lasted days, lasted 1 month and in the end they rejected it. OK, it's okay. Despite the delay, we understand the entire situation regarding IVA.
My husband requested a refund which would take up to 7 days, it has been two weeks.
We later learned that by not having informed about IVA, the agency would have the right to keep part of the deposit, something that for us is not certain if all this information was passed on in the check and reference link.
Since my husband and I are already so tired of this whole situation, we decided to let it go, we just wanted to get the rest of our deposit back.
My husband called because we need a refund of the deposit to put on another property.
And spoke to the manager who asked for 24 hours.
It's been 48 hours and nothing.
We kept calling today, 10/18/24, and they said it would be in the account at 5pm, but it is now 8pm.
I don't know what else we should do to resolve this situation. ????... Read more
