14th Aug 2023 (1 year ago)The person who valued our house and did the sales pitch to us was great, but the person who actually dealt with our sale was terrible. She added no value to the whole process, never answered the phone or called us back, sent really unhelpful emails with no clear actions or asks in there and provided no effort to mediate our chain and keep all parties happy. It felt like she ended up working for our buyer rather than us who were her clients. She also seemed to shy away from difficult news and did everything over email rather than calling and helping to get people on side. I would not recommend. Our friends had a similar experience so this is not an isolated incident.
7th Sep 2024 (8 weeks ago)I have recently bought my first property through blundells and the service was excellent!! Coming into the final few stages we had an issue with communications with the solicitors but Georgia was very transparent and honest and took the matters into her own hands. She gave me updates near enough every day and most importantly she was honest with me gave me all the right advice. Rishi the partnered mortgage advisor again was very transparent and honest, telling me what is and isn’t worth going for always showing the best options and giving the best advice and just being honest with me. They even gave me a little moving in care package which was such a lovely little gesture! Big thankyou to all the team at blundells would definitely recommend wether your a first time buyer or just looking for another property. Will definitely be using them again in the future!

27th Jul 2024 (14 weeks ago)I have just been stood up for a viewing with William H Brown, which I had booked with the Banner Cross office. I rang the office after waiting outside the property for 10 minutes, and was assured that the agent Hayley had my number and was on her way down to see me. I rang again after another 10 minutes and was told the same again. I rang a third time after I had waited half an hour only to find that they had closed the office and gone home! I have just given up and gone home after an hour of waiting and no communication. Extremely disappointing and very unprofessional.

She kept me sane and in good humour for what can be be a stressful time for anyone. Always informed, available anytime with sound advice during the selling process. I felt she was personally involved and in safe hands. The whole team are to be congratulated and it's clear they make a good team. I'm glad I dealt with them and would do so again.

We have found them to be very professional but at the same time friendly and will explain any jargon that we come across that we do not understand. They have provided us with QQ reports, surveyors reports for purchasing and selling properties and have advised us several times. I would recommend this company
4th Apr 2023 (1 year ago)Reliable, especially for those who have just arrived in the UK, they are very considerate and considerate to arrange the rental, and even help with the details outside the rental, such as how to choose and register for water, electricity, and Internet fees.
1st Jun 2022 (2 years ago)I have made a big investment with Alesco and they absolutely let me down. They provided very poor investment advice which resulted in a big financial loss. I doubt if I ever get my money back. Additionally, some 30 investors that were invested in the same investment had big financial loss as well. The business model of Alesco is based on very aggressive marketing. They put much pressure on you to buy, and the only thing they care about is sales at the expense of the investor. They are immoral and do not care about you and your hard earned money. I have been trying to reach out and talk to them but they avoid and lie to me systematically. I left another review in the past which was positive, but it was very early on and before I realised what is going on and lost my money. Never invest with Alesco.

Also do there utmost to make sure you don’t get your deposit back by missing things off the original itinerary by trying to charge you for previous things that were wrong with the property. Charge £56 to replace a lightbulb when I checked that every lightbulb was working! Charged for a broken wardrobe that was broken before I moved in but had others replaced as the landlord apparently couldn’t afford to replace all of them!! Mucky sofa when I moved in so I had a throw over it for a year to cover it and then this was also charged on the cleaning bill! Shower head was disgusting and I bleached it whilst I lived there and then they charged me for this!! Apparently landlord lived abroad and would never reply to requests so Martin and Co did the final viewing which they also added a broken balcony door which was already faulty and was stated in the original before I moved in! Avoid this poor outfit at all costs
18th Mar 2024 (7 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

19th Sep 2024 (6 weeks ago)PriceLynsey were recommended to myself and I would definitely recommend them to others. They were fantastic at auctioning my property . An extremely quick turn around of just over 3 weeks and the property was marketed , viewed and auctioned - (going for above my reserve price) . Nothing was too much for them. Richard is extremely knowledgeable. He was aware of my stressors of not knowing where to start and also me working long hours . He talked me through the full process, making me realise I had very little to do other than the legal side of finding a solicitor. Again I asked for advice re a solicitor who could act promptly and Richard was able to suggest one for me (again another stress taken from me) Richard kept me up to date on viewings that had taken place and really gave me confidence and a positive outlook throughout .He let me know when everything had been set up for the auction and contacted me post auction with the fantastic news of the sale. All I can say is a very big thank you for making the whole process so effortless for me. Thanks to Richard for being the main person that dealt with me but also Marcus and the rest of the team that makes this company a solid, friendly and professional team.
