1st May 2024 (19 days ago)We've lived in a property rented to us by Slater Hogg & Howison since 2018. Over this time we've trying to get damp and mould fixed but no joy. The people at Slater Hogg & Howison come to do a property inspection each time they photograph the damp and mould and say they'll get it fixed but don't. We've made countless complaints and raised the issues with the Property Ombudsman. A few weeks ago they sent out contractors to do a quote on fixing the black mould and damp, I'm heavily pregnant so would've liked the issues fixed before my baby is due to be born at the start of June but instead they've continually lied to us and now we've had sheriffs officers come to the door issuing an eviction notice to a heavily pregnant woman, no warning when my husband emailed for an updated on repairs on Monday, no email inadvance to say your landlord 'intends' to sell the property in July. We've been great tenants even though they've treated us badly, paid rent, each time we've had a property inspection they say how well we keep the place- and this is how they treat us. It's awful and extremely cruel. I do not recommend renting from them.
13th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)From the first call to set up a valuer to come out, we were impressed by Kieran. His warm, genuine, professional manner blew me away. Then when David the valuer came to the property he sealed the deal and we knew we were going to use Allen and Harris. Davids sincerity and care for what he does shone through and he knows his properties inside out. He spoke complete sense and valued our property correctly based on facts and figures from surrounding similar like for like properties. His approach was a breath of fresh air as we have dealt with many other estate agents and been exceptionally unimpressed by their sales pitch and the nonsense they spoke. The entire process was fast, efficient, our property was on the market straight away, they organised the home report directly along with the solicitors quote. Then there is Paula the dark horse in the back ground who pulls the whole thing together adding her professional touch! Even the viewers were all qualified and no time wasters. A huge thank you to you all for selling our property in under one week. We could not rate this team and this branch highly enough!!!
17th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)I believe this is a family business so it's with a heavy heart that I leave this negative review but I'm fairly certain even 1 star is too much. I feel like this company can be underhanded with people to benefit themselves and are extremely unprofessional. They do not provide all of the information on the process, they've claimed they don't have information that they do, they lied to get me to put down a deposit, when I queried this each member of staff I spoke to became defensive, aggressive and in one case insulting and another threatening. The staff are unable to answer simple questions about company policy or their obligations as estate agents with all questions having to be put in emails that they don't reply to. They clearly haven't listened to anything I have said as they still believe I am frustrated at being rejected, which I'm not, I'm frustrated at being dragged through a terribly explained process and then being treated poorly when it is questioned. In my experience, this is a place to avoid and certainly does not get my recommendation. Cowboys. UPDATE**You can see their 'customer service' skills in the flesh here in their reply as they have managed to get my name incorrect despite it being directly above where they're typing. They also still haven't replied to questions I posed at the time and have chased since. Avoid at all costs. The one thing they are right about is they did refund my desposit within a day - because I made a lot of noise about their poor practices - so don't accept the 3-5 days (or 5-7 depending on how they're feeling or who you speak to) they tout as being the refund time.
3rd May 2024 (17 days ago)Took time off work to view a flat, had paid for a taxi to get there just to be told they had the wrong keys so would have done another the day, didn’t even apologise. I texted the agent about when it would be possible to reschedule and only then did he apologise. I emailed the agency and they haven’t bothered to respond. It’s just an absolute muck about

12th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)I’ve been with Northwood for a year and a half now and i’ve had numerous issues with pipes / leaks in my flat. They always get back to me on the same day, usually within the hour and have a contractor out usually within 2. They’ve even been able to get people out to us for emergencies on weekends. Best letting agents i’ve been with in glasgow, absolutely 10/10

He holds nothing back in telling you the real deal when it comes to property and mortgage advice. His guidance when it comes to the property market in Edinburgh has been invaluable. Do not miss out on the chance to use Cox & co's mortgage broker service or for investing in buy to let property.
21st Apr 2024 (29 days ago)I highly recommend the Scottish Property Centre. Greg and the rest of the team were excellent from my first contact with them. Everything was explained to me clearly and I found everyone I had dealings with to be professional, helpful and knowledgeable. They made the process of selling my property very easy and I would definitely use the company again.
13th Nov 2023 (6 mo. ago)Upon moving out, I repeatedly contacted them to release my deposit. Unfortunately, even after a month has passed, my deposit remains unreleased. Following persistent follow-ups, they informed me that they had hired a "sparkle clean" service and would be sending me an invoice for the cleaning expenses. Ironically, I had already hired a professional cleaner to ensure the property was left in impeccable condition before my departure. The house was in a cleaner state than when I first moved in. It is disheartening to note that despite my efforts and the clear state of the property, they continue to withhold my deposit. Their reluctance to return the deposit, coupled with their evasive actions, strongly suggests unethical practices. They are absolute scammers, and I strongly advise others to avoid engaging with them at any cost.
24th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)I can wholeheartedly recommend the team at Yates Hellier. From the start Ross explained the whole process very clearly and put my mind at ease. I chose Yates Hellier as I was impressed with their promises of a more personal touch than the larger West End estate agents and they did not disappoint. Ross and Lisa were very easy to deal with . They were in constant communication with updates and viewings. The whole process from marketing to viewings went incredibly smoothly. Even when my initial buyer pulled out at the last minute, Ross and Lisa swooped into action and found another buyer in a matter of hours! Ross and Lisa dealt with all aspects of selling my flat and clearly know their stuff. They were highly professional, kept in constant touch and we sold our flat for a price we were delighted with. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

They kept in regular touch with us re the progress of our sale and offers. Overall an amazing home move experience and I would recommend Momo without any reservations. A five star overall experience!

13th Apr 2024 (5 weeks ago)Absolutely incredible professional service from Pacitti Jones from start to finish - they literally couldn't improve on anything. We had thought we would get quotes from three companies for selling our flat, but after reading reviews online for a few estate agents, decided to just go with PJ, based on other people's positive experiences with them. Paul, who came to value our flat, was really knowledgeable about this area, and combined his years of expertise with a reassuringly friendly and positive approach in everything. We wanted to take a few days to think things through and there was no hint of Paul trying to push us into anything - we just felt he was super respectful and kind to us throughout. When we decided to put our flat on the market, Shona became our point of contact and we can only describe her as completely outstanding in every way. She combines an air of supreme professionalism with an incredible personal touch, and we have been blown away by her personal commitment to every step of our selling journey. You have complete confidence that she will get the job done brilliantly. And we have to single out Shona's incredible comms for special mention - every email was responded to so quickly, she phoned regularly to keep us up to speed with everything, phoned in-between to see how things were going, and nothing was ever a bother. The PJ portal, where you have every bit of info about your property online, was fantastic, with upcoming viewings logged there, analytics from Rightmove, etc. The actual listing of our property on Rightmove was fantastic, too, with top grade photos and a 360 video - amazing. Our property sold within a week for a significant amount over the HR valuation, and the follow-up from Shona since then has been every bit as spectacular as before the sale. Honestly, after various house moves over the years, with some horrendous estate agent experiences of feeling nothing more than annoying to them and having to chase up literally everything, we can't recommend the Dennistoun team highly enough. It was a completely seamless experience from start to finish, and no wonder they have been awarded all these accolades - they seem to be an estate agent that is completely unique in their field, making the customer feel incredibly valued and important to them through every aspect of their operations. Way to go, guys, and thank you so much - biggest fans!

From the first enquiry to the sale of the house Scott was available at the other end of the phone to answer any queries we had. He carried out the viewings in a professional manner and our home was sold within 6 days of being on the market. Was as stress free as moving house can be. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a first class experience with great negotiations taking place. ????

17th Feb 2024 (13 weeks ago)I rented my mother's house in Bearsden a few years ago. The Property Bureau are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They did not check the house during the tenancy and when the tenants left the property was left in a disgusting state.
