Disappointing Experience of simply trying to get a home report (and possibly set up a viewing for a property if home report was to my liking) via both Rightmove/their own website/calling them about a place I was interested in for a fortnight and no reply Only time I got any expedited reply was when on one of the several requests i ticked the "yes I have a property to be valued option" and got prompt enough reply in regards to that, but as soon as I requested the home report again from that person as i would need somewhere to move to first, back to radio silence, finally get to speak to someone else today and no luck due to the property has an offer pretty much accepted, would have been nice to have that option myself... Cannot thank Gary Lindsay and Martin Ward enough for their incredible support! I sold my home via Allen & Haris where initially I wanted my home valued and sooner than later I decided I would like to buy a new home based on how positive Martin had been when he first came to visit the property and provide other additional information! Shortly after, house was on the market and it’s fantastic to share my house was sold and a new one was bought within the space of 6/7 weeks! The entire experience was made so easy for me as Gary Lindsay did not fail to step back when things got uneasy for me. Buying and selling within a short space of time definitely had its ups and downs but the estate agent did not leave my side once and went out of their way to make this experience a great one! The staff at Allen and Harris Paisley have been super in helping my daughter to buy her first property. Yvette's viewings have been both friendly and professional. We have especially appreciated her advice and following up our questions with the vendor. Kaye has worked hard in negotiations and Hassan has been a pleasure to meet too. Used A&H as a mortgage broker. The initial fee was nearly £600 for "lifetime membership", if I remember correctly. I told them I wasn't interested in lifetime membership, and then they dropped the fee to £100, which seemed reasonable. The service was good, always responsive. At the end of the day I was left with the feeling that I probably could have found a marginally better mortgage deal somewhere else, but it would have taken a lot more effort. During the transaction they tried to sell me a multitude of other insurance and finance products. It was not clear if I needed those products to get the mortgage deal or not. This part of the service could be vastly improved. I said "no" to all of them (except one) as I already had life and illness insurance from my employer.... Read more

We chose this estate agent because we were impressed by the gentleman (Innes Allen) who did the initial visit to our property, he seemed extremely knowledgable and was enthusiastic about selling the property. However after signing up with the agency our first attempt contact Innes at the office we were told that he was on holiday and when he returned he would not be working at the agency and had moved elsewhere. We were put on to two or three different people to deal with our sale but the service was not good and we were disappointed with the professionalism of the agency during the process. This company were by no means our cheapest option and other than the initial interaction with Innes the whole process was disappointing.... Read more
