18th Oct 2024 (14 days ago)I have given 5 stars because from start to finish the sale of my property went very smoothly. My first contact at Cockburns Estate Agents was Rob who found a buyer for my property almost immediately, unfortunate that buyer had to pull out of the sale but Rob found another buyer almost immediately. Cathy was the next person and she kept me up to date at all times. At one point I needed a contractor to remove an old unused asbestos pipe and when I mentioned it to Cathy she gave me the name of a contractor. All in all when I sell my next property I will be using Cockburn Estate Agents again.

I think we couldn’t have a better estate agent. He really deserves a promotion for his dedication and hard work.

We had a particular set of requirements for the house sale/move of our relatives who have complex care needs and Robinson Jackson Sydenham were there to help on every front! They accommodated all of our requests with the utmost professionalism. Replies were always forthcoming and prompt from all. I would particularly like to mention Simon for his guidance, Byron and the team. ….Also a very special thanks to Saphire who was immense and absolutely brilliant in her sales progressor role and dedicated approach to getting us over the line! Truly kept us going! Our relatives can now enjoy their new home which is much more suited to their needs and the future. On behalf of the family thank you again!
5th Jul 2024 (17 weeks ago)We bought our house through Reeds Rains Catford earlier this year. I would not recommend them to anyone. Being rude and pushy to anyone during this process shouldn't be ok, whether it's the buyer/seller/other estate agents involved or solicitors. The whole experience of buying through Reeds Rains was horrible, from the start to finish. If it wasn't for the fact we wanted the house so much we would have walked away based on our experience with this agency.

Our experience was impacted when our main estate agent unexpectedly left the business, and we were not informed until we noticed they had left our group chat and we had to enquire about what was going on. Communication and follow up with potential buyers was lacking, and we frequently had to chase for updates. Additionally, we were tied into a 12-week contract and ideally we would have switched earlier. We’ve now decided to list with a different estate agent that doesn’t lock clients in.
23rd Jul 2024 (14 weeks ago)I viewed two rental properties with Mohammed, the first one had a previous pest problem and when I asked for the documentation from pest control to show the relevant work was completed I was told they could not provide it. (Ripon road) - Still available. The second property is on Shorndean street, I was the first person to view and as soon as I left I called the office to make an offer and was told I’d receive a call back, they never called back. I chased them and was told someone else had put in an offer so I couldn’t. Weeks on this property is still showing as available and every time I call Mohammed either avoids me, or has said I cannot offer as other offers are going forward. (Even though I was the first to view it and call) As an estate agent myself I can’t seem to understand why they will only put forward one offer as they are legally obliged to put all offers forward fairly. I will be making a formal complaint against them to the property ombudsman.

21st Sep 2024 (6 weeks ago)You might find many positive reviews from sellers, but I strongly advise first-time buyers to steer clear of this agency. When I viewed the property, I was assured it was in excellent condition, with the exception of the boiler being a bit old. However, as recommended to me, I still arranged for a independent survey. Due to an unexpected emergency, the survey was delayed by a week. This delay wouldn’t have affected the sale since the completion date was still a month away. Despite this, the agency contacted me, pressuring me to cancel the survey because the seller was growing impatient (a tactic that, in hindsight, seems manipulative). Unfortunately, I felt I had little choice, as the house I was renting was soon to be sold. It turned out that the house suffered from severe mould and damp issues - an information that was withhold from me during the viewing and that would have been revealed in the survey. Fixing these problems has already cost me several thousand pounds. I strongly discourage first-time buyers, especially my NHS colleagues who need to buy in this area for work, from using this agency. They simply cannot be trusted.
3rd Oct 2024 (29 days ago)B&K just sold my flat. Had such a great experience with the team - Jamie, Ellen & Michelle. Their customer service is excellent and very different to the experience I have had with most other estate agents. They really made us feel like they care and are invested in our sale and I really appreciated their honesty and how down to earth they are. They navigated tricky parts of the sale well and remained professional throughout. Dealing with the same people from start to finish really makes a different too. I don't have a bad word to say and I couldn't recommend more!

1st Oct 2024 (4 weeks ago)Worked with Jack at Stanfords Hither Green to sell my house. He was very good at following up, organising visits, negotiate and gave some good advice at every stage. It's a long and stressful process and having a good estate agent is really important.

They marketed the property very well, took great photographs (even swept up the back yard!) and got a lot of viewings booked in on the opening weekend. More than anything they communicated with us well, replying to e-mails at all hours, and really pushed the solicitors on both sides to get the sale completed quickly. I would happily recommend them to anybody in the area.

28th Aug 2024 (9 weeks ago)Never trust in EATON GREEN ESTATE AGENTS specifically in Sherif and the manager. When you sing the contract they never answer my emails. I rented a property with mould and humidity the toilet does not work the kitchen has leeks the all property have a terrible smell and after a beg them to help me find another property they never do it why because I am single mother and they know my situation and vulnerability. They never help me with nothing and after finally find another flat I don't have my deposit back u til today with £860 less. I don't have any faith in this society thank you Sheriff and the MANAGER THEY LIED TO ME ABOUT THE FLAT NOBODY DESERVE TO LIVE LIKE THAT. IF

Every time we manage to speak to someone on the phone, we’re promised a call back that never happens. No one responds via email, and the whole process has been painfully slow from start to finish.
