Beware of this place. 29/01/17 Viewed an apartment with my girlfriend advertised by alan batts, we liked it that much after viewing we got straight on the phone asking to put a holding deposit down for it. The employee advised to ring back the next day and someone would send over the application as she didn't have the facilities to do so, she also said not to worry as there had been no other applicants but once its filled in could pay the holding fee for the property. 30/01/17 Rung back at 9:05 the next morning to send the applications and pay a holding fee, we were advised again that the fee can't be paid until the application has been submitted, after an hour the application wasn't received something they said would take a few minutes, so i phoned them again and told them i wanted to get this sorted that day and i had work later, was told again not to worry there had been no other interest, and i finally received the application at 12:10pm. So as the some of the application needed to be hand written on and scanned back in i didn't have enough time to fill out the application completely before work, and according to them i couldn't have paid the holding fees for the property until it was completed. That evening i completed it and sent all relevant paperwork. 31/01/17 9:15 rang again to advise i had sent all the application and that i wanted to pay the holding deposit immediately) something that i had been ready to do for 48 hours now) they took payment by bank transfer and i was told again NOT TO WORRY but that no one else has applied. So i sent the money within a couple of minutes. 20 minutes later somebody else got on the phone and told me someone else had done an application on friday 27/01/17 and just came into the premises to pay the holding deposit at 9:05. So all summed up, alan batts are amateurish and unprofessional at what they do. Stay well clear, i've been told multiple lies and dealt with inadequate staff since the minute i've spoke to them.

Terrible service with Alan Batt lettings. We had issues with the water in the property which, even though this had been deemed not fit for purpose, wasn't sorted for about a year. We had been raising issues with damp in the property for almost 12 months as well, and nothing was done, which caused me to be quite ill. Even when they were made aware of this, this was still ignored, and still hasn't been completely sorted. They constantly have to be chased to get things done. We ended up just moving out instead.
