In the process of purchasing a property through Philip James and having dealt with a number of estate agents in the past few months, I can confidently say Philip James have been the most helpful and proactive. Tom’s customer service is impeccable and he genuinely can’t do more to help you. Lewis and Adeel have also been great, communication has been consistent and I’m so pleased my purchase is being handled by them.
Utterly shambolic and careless approach to all aspects of customer relationship management. From start to finish my experience of this estate agent has been nothing short of appalling - they are doing no favours for the reputation of their industry.
Due to their lack of appropriate contractor vetting and management they flooded the apartment I was renting (in summer 2015) and refused to accept liability in terms of their duty of care and moral obligation to act in a compassionate and timely manner. They ignored their responsibility to provide a safe environment whilst I had to endure weeks and weeks of having a fly infestation due to harmful damp and rot in a utility cupboard.
There is very little accountability within this organisation and scarce acknowledgement of customer satisfaction and the principles of doing right by the people that keep their business afloat.
I would never recommend their services. Notwithstanding the above, there are capable employees at this business but their issues are systemic.
Now, 2 weeks after moving out I'm still waiting for them to refund my overpaid rent without any explanation as to why - another example of their terrible customer focus.
All I can say about my experience with Reeds Rains in Didsbury is positive and recommended 100%. We’ve been renting properties in Manchester for 10 years and this was without a doubt the best one ever . I was in contact with Craig , he provides excellent service, was always available to respond my queries and help throughout the application process. He is very competent and his service was great. Next time we need to either rent or busy a house will contact him directly . Thanks
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I had an offer accepted on the proviso that the house was off the market. Spent the week organising solicitors and final mortgage and was to go in on Friday with ID. They continued to show it the following week (didnt inform me of this) and as I was about to go in with ID told me they had another offer. Played offers off against one a other to increase the price then sold it to other buyer. When I asked for an explanation they said other offer was from someone who viewed it before me. Found out this was a lie. The explanation then changed to 'property does not come off the market until ID check'. I was never told this. If I had been told when offer accepted would have been there Monday morning. Convenient that this information was 'miscoumunicated' and they ended up with a higher price. Buying/selling your house is stressful enough without dealing with people like this.
After struggling to let my property through another agent, Jess and Angela provided an excellent service whilst finding me the right tenant quickly. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to advertising and know their market well. Cannot recommend Bridgfords enough. Well done!
At first i thought they are helpful. They asked for a guarantor and we looked everywhere i went all the way to london to get a guarantor and when we got one they said the property has gone we were so pissed off we didnt sleep for nearly 2 days because we liked the property. At the end they said the property has gone
fml ???????????????????????????????????? really pisssssssed offfffffffoffffdfff
Friendly, helpful staff. Cheap competitive fees. All in all, extremely satisfied with the service provided, all queries dealt with quickly and in the most professional manner. Highly recommended.
As a landlord with Reeds Rains, I and my wife are utterly disappointed with the level of service received. We signed up to their full management service and after 2 years are yet to receive any kind of service. The list of heartbreaks is still ongoing despite requesting to end our contract with them, which seems to be more stressful than owning a property! Communication and Data protection are not things they value considering our latest issue with them!!!
Not sure I would recommend them!
The team in Worsley kept me updated throughout my journey. Zoe and Vicky left no stone unturned when assisting me with my property search, and went above and beyond to find me my dream home!! I cannot recommend them highly enough, and although I have no plans to sell at the moment, I wouldn't think twice about using them in the future and would definitely recommend them as a preferred local agent. Keep up the good work ladies :) xx
All I can say is read my review on their Facebook group. I can assure anyone reading it that their treatment towards me is not rare. Read the other comments there. Failed to turn up to inspections, repairs not done correctly if at all, no communication between staff (staff leaving frequently!!) dangerous work done. Leaving blades around for kids to touch and worst of all telling my landlady that my daughter had just died!!!!!!! When in fact she died ten years ago. Not that it's their business to discuss this. Awful company. You're better selling your house on the back of a postcard on Tescos noticeboard. Please read their Facebook page. Lots of negatives including them discussing staff relationships on there! I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation as to why they made a circa £2.5m LOSS the past two years
