We were pointed in Connells direction as first time buyers who had no idea where to start when purchasing a property, which is where we met Ravi. He has been absolutely fantastic in helping us every step of the way! To start he worked really hard to get us a mortgage in principle quickly which was a worry of ours as my partner is self employed. Once this was sorted he helped us sort out life and home insurance, evening going out of his way to use his day off to ensure this was done. We have had nothing but an absolutely incredible experience with Ravi who was very professional throughout the process and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a mortgage! If I could I would rate his services 10 stars out of 5, thank you very much Ravi!
It is not a agency, missed three times for my booked appointments. It's a shame of British.
Having just been through the most horrendous, problem ridden house sale that even Rob Anderson, the branch manager at William H. Brown Estate Agent in Halford Street. Leicester, has ever experienced I have nothing but the highest praise for the way he handled the whole chain, which was only five houses!
Dithering purchasers, problems with building over a drain, where Severn Trent wanted three weeks to sign off the inspection, non-submission of a septic tank report – the list is endless. In every case Rob patiently (most of the time!) negotiated with Severn Trent, building societies, solicitors, vendors, purchasers – anyone to smooth and hurry the completion. I am quite sure that if the UK government sent him to the Middle East he could negotiate a cease fire and lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians!
Where most estate agents are, at best, aloof and disinterested Rob went well over and above his remit to sort out every problem and pitfall calmly and efficiently.
A truly excellent job, a credit to his profession and employers and we will be eternally grateful.
Turned up for a 3:30pm viewing on Saturday, the agent never turned up. We waited for 20 mins either side of the appointment outside the property so of course gave up byt his point. Tried to call several times with no answer. Another couple were waiting outside who said they also had their appointment at 3:30pm...double booked, nice. Called today to get an answer to what happened, they essentially called me a liar saying the agent was in fact there (bear in mind TWO couples waited and both have said they weren't there). They then denied we were double booked, then slipped up by mentioning THREE couples were looking at the flat. When I asked for an answer, she said "I will be taking my colleague's word for it, is there anything else I can help with?". Erm NO. Never, EVER again, thanks!
Brilliant customer service, with fast and friendly responses. The staff member who was helping my friend and I really went above and beyond when arranging our property.
They were really helpful when we were moving in, but when we got the keys, we realised that the flat is dirty (even though it was a newly built property) and someone even forget to wipe off his urine from the toilet seat, so the first couple of days we spent cleaning and never received a compensation for that. Now we have moved out, we did clean, left in a better state compared to the beginning of the tenancy and yet they are trying to take our deposit for cleaning and "damage on the wall" which was there already when we moved in. And just to make things better, they not even telling us our DPS number, so we can not start the dispute. If you do not mind losing your deposit for made up reasons, they are the number one!
David Sharpe at Spencers was very good. Trustworthy and true to his word. We handed over our key went on holiday and our house sold before we got back!
He did a great job at negotiating our sale and new property price and kept us updated along the way.
Expensive and very poor service. We had to chase constantly, never anyone in the office who knew the current situation and very slow to do anything.
I found the service to be great. When contacting the Tom the agent he was very professional and was very helpful. He always replied back to my emailed within a short amount of time. Thank you for all your help
We recently sold our house using Newton Fallowell, very professional service throughout, our house looked top notch in all the photo's and we had 4 viewings with three offers in just 5 days. We got reasonably quick replies to all follow up enqueries and the whole selling process was complete in 11 weeks.
Excellent service throughout our tenancy. The team are helpful and friendly and emails are responded to very quickly. Any queries we had were dealt with very efficiently. Would highly recommend renting with them.
We bought a house through James Sellicks last year. I must be very honest in my review as i am reviewing a business that has many members of staff, supports many individuals as well as families and no doubt has a long established base within Leicester and surrounding areas. Therefore, be assured that this review is not from a competitor or someone out to try and harm James' business in any away.
Due to the purchase price being so high, i had the misfortune of having to deal with James Sellicks himself. I found James to be murky in his dealings and very rude and abrupt at times. The property in question was sought after and i wanted it so i had no choice but to put up or shut up basically.
I advise anyone reading this to be very cautious about dealing with James Sellicks. They know how to lure you in and make sure you pay top dollar by talking the talk to their client's advantage.
I found James to be impersonable, pushy and rude.
All in all i am grateful for the opportunity to be able to review JS honestly, fairly and openly and of course in the public domain. This review reprents my opinion of having transacted in a deal with James Sellicks
