Originally the property was sold subject to contract, I asked if it 'fell through' please contact me, it did! Voila, we got it. I must single out Zoe, who was on the ball and an excellent connunicator, as were all I had contact with. Great service. Regards Victor and Lynn.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH SAVILLS WAS APPALLING.<br><br>ONE STAR IS TOO MANY!!<br><br>Our experience as buyers of a property marketed by Savills has left us with absolutely no confidence in them whatsoever.<br><br>We entered this purchase believing the vendors were involved in a normal onward property purchase. What we subsequently discovered was that they were actually buying a new-build property that had not yet been built.<br><br>That distinction was rather important to us. Had we understood the true position and the potential timescale from the outset, it could have materially affected our decisions.<br><br>Instead, we ultimately spent NINE MONTHS in rented accommodation waiting for the vendors to move.<br><br>During the process we were given the impression by the Savills selling agent that the vendors could move into rented accommodation or stay with family. Yet when the delays continued, we were subsequently told they could not do so.<br><br>As buyers, it felt as though the reality of the situation kept changing depending upon what was necessary to keep the transaction together.<br><br>Then came the fridge freezer.<br><br>The property had been marketed to us at a fixed price, with no offers, and there was an integrated fridge freezer housed within the fitted kitchen cabinetry. We were subsequently told that the vendor intended to remove it.<br><br>We disputed this.<br><br>After raising the issue, the Savills agent told us that she had sorted the dispute and that the fridge freezer WOULD BE STAYING.<br><br>After everything we had already endured, we relied upon that assurance.<br><br>Nine months after entering temporary accommodation, we finally completed, collected the keys and walked into our new home.<br><br>The integrated fridge-freezer housing was empty.<br><br>The appliance we had specifically disputed, and which we had specifically been told would remain, had been removed.<br><br>That neatly sums up our experience.<br><br>An estate agent acts for the seller—we fully understand that. What we expect, however, is for information given to prospective buyers to be clear, accurate and reliable. Buyers make enormous financial and practical decisions based upon what they are told during a property transaction.<br><br>We sold our home, moved into rented accommodation, paid the associated costs, waited nine months and ultimately purchased this property. We therefore had every right to expect straightforward communication.<br><br>Instead, our experience left us feeling that the seller’s interests were protected while we, as buyers, were expected simply to absorb whatever changed along the way.<br><br>I would certainly not trust verbal assurances from Savills again.<br><br>If you are buying a property through them, my advice based on our experience is simple:<br><br>Get EVERYTHING in writing.<br><br>Do not rely upon conversations about the vendor’s circumstances. Do not rely upon assurances about timescales. Do not rely upon statements about what is being left at the property. Have anything important confirmed formally through your solicitor before you make decisions or incur costs based upon it.<br><br>Perhaps our experience would have felt very different had we been the vendors. From a seller’s perspective, having an agent fight relentlessly for your interests may be exactly what you want.<br><br>But as buyers, we came away feeling managed rather than informed.<br><br>After nine months in rented accommodation and finally arriving at a house with an empty space where the integrated fridge freezer we had specifically been assured would remain should have been, I think that feeling is entirely understandable.<br><br>I would never choose to buy a property marketed by this Savills office again.

They have been efficient and fair to both myself as property owner but also the tenants. One big plus is they do physical checks on the property - and make notes that can be seen by me if needed. From first meeting with Michael to discuss my options on letting to years later with having had many dealings with different staff I have no complaints.

Property transactions are by their nature stressful, but S&B go above and beyond to support both their clients and wider stakeholders. Always answer the phone, respond to emails, and willing to find a solution.<br>Would highly recommend for both their professionalism, knowledge, and ability to overcome any problem.
21st May 2026 (18 weeks ago)I couldn’t fault either of the agents that have helped me, Danni was amazing from the get go, at the viewing she made me feel at ease instantly, she listened to my needs and has helped me every step of the way, I couldn’t fault her and I feel it wouldn’t of gone so smoothly if it wasn’t for her, when Danni was unavailable Jess help me who in turn was amazing too, I really appreciate everything that has been done for me and my daughter, I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a property to speak to Danni, thank you guys you have been fantastic.

I'm a first time buyer so was just putting up with it at first, but everytime I look elsewhere for understanding I find out just how much this agency is not working in line with normal expectations. They provide no information then chase you as if you're a nuisance. Information from them doesn't match up with what I get from my solicitors. The entire process has been much more stressful than necessary and I'm ridiculously disappointed. I have family moving up North and with how bad this process has been I'm at a point where I would encourage them to miss out on great properties just to avoid dealing with Lovelle Hykeham

24th May 2024 (2 years ago)This is the third time I have used Pridea to sell a property. Exactly the same experience every time. The property sells quickly with one robust sale that goes through to completion. Not my experience of using other estate agents in the area.
28th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)Great communication, regularly called to give updates or discuss how to increase traffic to our adverts if views were down. Never once told us to reduce our price which other agents often did as a method the gain interest.

4th Sep 2026 (23 days ago)Went to view a property and met a gentleman called David absolutely lovley guy love the the property explained my situation as I was looking for rented accommodation due to marital divorce etc no other estate agents understud the fact that ive been homeless and had savings and wouldn't except me but David listened and went back to the office and explained to the lady who dealing with that property and can confirm after been homeless since the 18 may it feels good thankyou all for your help there David<br>And not forgetting<br>Becky
13th Aug 2025 (1 year ago)From the first time we meet Charlotte we was really impressed we felt she very friendly and had our best interest in mind she gave us the confidence to sell our property and look for a property that was more suitable for us. We are now much happier in our dream property that we would never have purchased if it was not for Charlotte giving us some confidence. Claire who we never meet but was just has friendly and kept us up to date on how sale was going and chasing solicitors etc. We are glad everything worked out in the end and would definitely recommend Charlotte and Claire to any body buying or selling Michael/Alison Whelan
