30th Oct 2025 (21 weeks ago)Recently bought a new build in Marton, Spicerhaart are selling on behalf of E5. Dealt with new build Sales Director Graham Lang who said he would make the process as smooth as possible. Sadly it could not have been further from the truth the process was very poor communication wise, once they had our deposit for the new build they were not interested. Graham does not respond to emails or phone calls and speaking to other occupiers on the site it seems they have all had exceptionally poor service from Graham. Avoid this agent whether buying or selling they are only interested in your money, they don’t care about you as a person.

They have been so kind and really helpful with all the questions we’ve had.
- 3rd Feb 2026 (8 weeks ago)Enquired about a rental property but got declined because of previous bad credit - relating to something that has been paid off for a year and 8 months. Not even willing to do a credit check, receive references from previous landlords or take into account income and expenditure. I understand the risks of previous financial problems but ‘previous’ is the main word of focus here. There should be more understanding and investigation towards why things have happened and the likelihood of it happening again. Don’t tar everyone with the same brush.

From the very first viewing right through to checking in that we’d moved in safely, he’s been absolutely brilliant. He was professional, relatable, approachable and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he kept us informed every step of the way which made everything so much less stressful. We appreciate it greatly and would recommend William H Brown highly!

During the recent sale of our property Craig, Paula and team were very professional, friendly and accommodating.- 3rd Mar 2026 (26 days ago)Moved from Kent to Newark WH Brown were the Estate Agents for the Newark property so we weren’t paying them. We had a positive experience with good communication from Poppy, India and Tiffany especially when there were delays at the top of the chain. They never made me feel like I was bothering them and I did call a lot.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. Despite not purchasing through them, they were still always there every step of the way to support us, answer any questions and give advice. Vicki in particular went above and beyond and genuinely made the process so much easier for us. Without her doing all the leg work we’d certainly have found the who process really difficult. Would absolutely recommend this estate agents and would personally thank Vicki for all her hard work and support
