my house purchase through pymm & co fell through. This was more to do with the seller. Having said that if we were made aware of the problems at the start. (like including important information about the property in the listing) We may have saved a lot of time stress and money later on.
Gilson Bailey were recommended by my Solicitor. I received immediate attention, the house was on the market the next day. Several people came to view, and the fourth person, a property developer, put in an offer which I accepted. Gilson Bailey check out credentials, but 2 months along the line the sale was going nowhere & based on the information from the frequent reports by Gilson Bailey, I decided, despite the legal fees which has accrued, to give the buyer an ultimatum & finally put the property back on the market. Gilson Bailey advised to keep the price the same, & worked doubly hard to promote the property, finding a new buyer within the week. This sale took 3 months to complete as there was a chain, but through the whole process Gilson Bailey kept me informed & advised, always getting the information to me before my Solicitor. Very professional outfit.
We were well looked after by the staff of Gilson Bailey from the very beginning to the end of our sale. Jack gave us good advice, an accurate valuation and some very good photographs. Kristina helped us with lots of advice and help to get the price we were looking for. When our buyers legal team became awkward, she worked tirelessly to get them to work better and quicker. It was the second time we had used Gilson Bailey as they sold the house to us in the first place. We do not intend to move again but wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Disorganised. It is always someone else fault. Never follow things through. Poor customer service both as a tenant and a landlord. Terrible rental experience with them, had to go to the Tenancy Protection Scheme to ensure I got my deposit back. No sign in procedure for keys which they “lost”. Just don’t even think about using them.
My housemates and I have had nightmarish experiences with this horrible company already and the tenancy hasn't even started. Their incompetence and laziness is defiantly not worth the £90 admin fee. We paid what we thought was the admin fee and deposit, a rather large sum compared to previous student accommodation. Nine months later we receive a phone call out of the blue informing us we need to pay a very hefty deposit by the very next day at the latest, they never so much as emailed us before hand, a lot of people don't have that kind of money lying around. I can't believe we're stuck with these people for an entire year.
